Brain Freeze
« on: May 06, 2018, 09:51:32 am »
I can’t believe I totally have a brain freeze.  How do I highlight another members post to comment on it?  I’ve done this hundreds of time, but for the life of me I have no idea now.  Thanks (this must be an age thing) 😃

You can click Quote on the right side of their post. Is that what you're looking for?

Yeah, I'm guessing you are looking for the "quote" button? It puts there comment in a box above your answer. You can always just answer at the bottom of the post without quoting them though.

Don't feel bad, Nancy.  Actually, you just made me feel better.  It's always good to know you have company when you are aging and some of these crazy things happen.  For example, I've always been one of the best spellers I know.  I won many spelling bees when I was young and they had that sort of thing.  People I have worked with would often ask me how to spell a word and refer to me as the dictionary.  Well, not too long ago I was writing something and a word came up and for the life of me I couldn't remember whether it had 1 or 2 "n's."

Well, sometimes when i click the "quote"button to reply to another members post, it makes it look like I did the original post?   Very confusing???

It used to be confusing to me too, but if you just keep the cursor where it is, it comes out right. I think some people move it to a different spot which makes it come out all wrong. I frequently use the preview button too, to make sure it all looks right before actually posting it.
