Another school shooting. I just read where the idiot pulled the fire alarm so when students file out they are sitting ducks. Maybe if the ignorant media had not plastered that every where when it happened in Florida it wouldn't have given this person the idea.

I have noticed lately the shooter doesn't kill themselves any more.  Too bad.  The cops should have shot him.

And no gun control is not the answer.  It is not a gun problem it's a self centered all about me problem!

Yeah because taking all the guns worked out real well for Germany. And all the other countries where they done the same thing they annihilated millions. Yeah I know in your snowflake dream word you don't believe any of that really happened. Insert eye roll here!

I agree on the news being a huge problem, we live in a world of news about every thing...  I'm almost 60 and back as a kid , we knew the local news that's pretty much it . I think allot of the same things happened back in the day as well, we just didn't know every places business at the second it happens !  Guns being removed will not remove the problem, you could have 1000s of guns in a building, and nothing will happen till some fool finds them. I'm a gun owner and have been all my life.  They flew jets into the world trade building to kill thousands ,  we still build sky scrapers and ride in jets,..... And this ones for the starter of this topic!!    BENKOWSKI thinks  ----  instead of feeding thousands of stray cats, the money should be spent on guards  at schools !!        I just couldn't help my self on that !!!  Wink

lol. That would be a good thing to do with extra money. I say do like others have suggested and hire retired veterans to be ARMED guards in the schools. When some idiot pops the first shell - drop him! 

If people want to kill others they will find a way.  It has only been a few weeks since some nut drove a car into a crowd of people in Canada.  I guess we need to ban cars too.  And I agree about the instant access to news.  I have a couple of apps that give breaking news alerts and it is insane.  The second something happens you start getting alerts.

This idiot is getting exactly what he wants.  Instant fame.  Reference the thread I started about people seeking attention.  This country is in trouble.  And I don't see us ever recovering.  I think we have gone too far.

What happened to hardening the target... if they can control entry of airports, federal buildings, I don't get what is the holdup for security pre-entry.  They have them at amusement parks here in Cali... including Disneyland & they have massive amounts of people gaining entry daily.
Even at the movies, they check your bag... this is just dumb that people are allowed to just walk freely into schools without any kind of deterrent.

It is so sad that  so many school children are being under attack. But then most schools are gun free same as Church's. But it is not the gun it is a people problem.  We have these sick  idiots who want  to do harm and will find a way to do it. It just happens the guns are the easiest way.  There are so many gun control  laws on the books now that are not being enforced. And yet  congress wants more gun control. No what they want is for all of us to give up or guns so they can control us. Our schools are set up that  no one can get in without an id on them. Even that won't stop some of the idiots. I think some teachers should be trained and  be able to carry a  gun. If people are aware that it is not a gun free place they would not be so intent to commit harm there.

country bumpkin  it's just that simple(knowledge is power and prevention) taking proper steps to prevent the shooting which saves everyone.  These shooters don't just appear and go " I'm killing" there are red flags and they needed to be found beforehand to prevent this. All the technology available should make this easy but ppl choose to do the work/to get involved or not.

For the record, at this school, there were two armed resource officers who immediately went towards the shooter.  He was still able to kill 10 and injure 10, now what?

I figure it is only a matter of time before they find out this kid was on Psychotropic drugs - most of the school shooters are.  If you see his pictures, he recently gained a ton of weight - and I saw people interviewed that he was bullied.  Red Flags for risk,,, He also wore that trenchcoat to school daily, with those symbolisms... one such pin worn was the same as the columbine school shooter wore on his shoe. & he walked into school today with a "born to kill" shirt.... hello?!  There should be zero tolerance.  Our society has just gotten so sick & toxic...

When I was a teen I wore a" I'd rather be killing Commies t shirt,so what.  I also had access to dozen shotguns,rifles,handguns 1000's of rounds of ammo. You're either a red flag  or not.

I have NEVER had anyone check my bag at the movie theater.  And probably would object to that. What's next - frisk everybody as they enter Walmart?  I agree with the schools though. I know in Florida when they got done protesting they made everyone carry a clear back pack then all the kids got mad and cried foul. LOL.  Suck it up buttercup!  You can't have it both ways.

It is a simple solution though. Have one door students can enter through and have metal detectors. Have a cop or armed guard at that entrance. And make it known if you bring a gun to school and you fire it YOU WILL BE SHOT and we shoot to kill.  Stop coddling these people and this will stop happening.

And I am so sick of hearing mental health it is unreal. It's not a gun problem and it's not a mental health problem. It's a generation of kids brought up to think the world revolves around them and nobody can tell them no and they are never punished problem.

I guarantee if they brought back asylums and when you have "mental health issues" you end up here that there would be a lot less people with "mental health problems".

But with all the cry baby snowflakes they are not allowed to enforce a dress code. When they do then mommy is all over facebook and the internet posting pictures of their innocent little baby and how they are being bullied (dang that word is over used) and the school is doing them wrong.  Maybe all the schools need to go to a dress code.  You wear blue or black dress slacks - color determined by the school - and a white button up shirt that fits your body.  Everyone will wear the loafers like they did in days of old. No boots of any kind. No big jackets or coats and no hats.

As for if he was on pills - hard to say.  I didn't know all the others were on pills.  First I heard of that but it very well may be true.  I don't do like everybody else and sit and watch this all the time.  I don't want to know the killers name and I don't want to see his face. 

When you carry out a mass killing like this there needs to be serious punishment no matter how mental you are.  If you are smart enough to load the weapons (he had explosives too not just the shotgun) get them in to the school and pull the trigger.  OH and don't forget he knew to pull the fire alarm so everyone would come out in to the hall.  Then you are sane enough to stand trial.  And if not they need to be locked away in a mental institution for the rest of their life.  If there was real punishment for crimes there would be a lot less crimes.

And as for the trench coat - he wore it every day so people wouldn't think any thing of it.  Kind of like the crazy girl that wore a sweatshirt hoodie every day in the local dollar store.  She wore it everyday 100 or whatever.  She was also stuffing crap up under that big sweatshirt all day every day.  Yeah she went in there about 5 times a day.  But since she always had the sweatshirt on nobody thought anything about it.
