Misconception: A person must be born again to gain salvation or to be a Christian.

Fact: Christ’s sacrifice provides salvation not only for those who are born again as the ones who will rule with Christ in heaven but also for the earthly subjects of God’s Kingdom. (1 John 2:1, 2; Revelation 5:9, 10) That second group of Christians have the opportunity to live forever in Paradise on earth.—Psalm 37:29; Matthew 6:9, 10; Revelation 21:1-5.

Misconception: A person can choose to be born again.

Fact: The opportunity to have a relationship with God and gain salvation is open to all. (1 Timothy 2:3, 4; James 4:8) However, God chooses those who will be born again, or anointed with holy spirit. According to the Bible, being born again “depends, not on a person’s desire or on his effort, but on God.” (Romans 9:16) The expression “born again” can also be rendered “born from above,” confirming that the selection of those who are born again comes “from above,” or from God.—John 3:3, footnote.

The Bible states at Isaiah 11:6-9: “The wolf will actually reside for a while with the male lamb, and with the kid the leopard itself will lie down, and the calf and the maned young lion and the well-fed animal all together; and a mere little boy will be leader over them. And the cow and the bear themselves will feed; together their young ones will lie down. And even the lion will eat straw just like the bull. And the sucking child will certainly play upon the hole of the cobra; and upon the light aperture of a poisonous snake will a weaned child actually put his own hand. They will not do any harm or cause any ruin in all my holy mountain.” Awake! 1982 Oct 8 p.13

Foolish member seems to think this happens in heaven.Holy mountains in heaven?LOL!!!

Psalms 37:29 answers the earth is what is referred to and the righteous reside forever upon it

Psalm 103:13-14
As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; for he knows how we are formed, he remembers that we are dust.

And dust we go back to at death in need of a resurrection from God to live again. If man had an immortal soul there would be no need for a resurrection that Jesus spoke of.Satan blinding the minds of christendom. When u know the truth it sets u free from those teachings.

You joined the topic so i assume you have a bible.Turn to the book of Mathew chaptor 2.

We read the star in the sky takes the Magi to Jerusalem.Funny how they were looking for Jesus and it took them there.Jesus,Mary and Joseph were in Bethlehem. They tell King Herod they are looking for Jesus soon to be king.Herod feels the rivalry and asks his men RE Jesus. They are able to discern from the bible he is in Bethlehem.Herod tells the Magi when you find him i also want to honor him.But he is really lying. He wants to kill Jesus. So Herod tells the Magi to report back to him when they find him.All of a sudden the star moves to Bethlehem right over the place where Jesus is.Hmmmmmmmm.it looks as tho the star wanted the Magi to see Herod first.Anyway an angel tells the Magi Herod wants to kill Jesus.Dont go back to him and they leave on another route to go home. The angel tells Joseph what Herods intentions are and tells them to go to Egypt.Of course they listen.Herod is incensed the Magi dont come back.He has every 2 yr old boy in Bethlehem murdered.

Chaptor 2 in Mathew backs that up.Satan obviously played a part in directing the star.He has turned this situation into an angel of light in Christendom.Praise be to Jehovah to enlighten his faithful with the truth.

As i edit this post on 1/14/19 it was refreshing NOT to see any topics RE the nativity scene during the holidays. All 1 had to do was read 2nd chapter of Math as explained from above to see how it turned into a murderous spree and how the devil manipulated the star.

And yet some are so ignorant what was drilled into their heads the truth still wouldnt matter.Just the same the topic page looked better NOT seeing the ploy Satan uses to blind many still.

Prophesy fulfilled in Jeremiah

In Matthew 2:17-18 says “Then was fulfilled what was spoken by the prophet Jeremiah, A voice was heard in Ramah, weeping and loud lamentation, Rachel weeping for her children; she refused to be comforted, because they are no more.”

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

I'd love to share what we were reading today this morning.

Luke 2:11-14
" Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you.He is the Messiah, the Lord.
12' This will be the sign to you: you will see a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.
13'Suddenly a great company of the heavenly hosts appeared with the angels. Praising God and saying
14'Glory to God in the highest.

John 3:13 13No one has ever gone into heaven except the one who came from heaven-the Son of Man.

So where was everyone that died before Jesus came to earth?

Another scripture that shows man ISNT immortal and backs up he doesnt exist and goes to dust at death.

2. What is the condition of the dead?
Adam’s creation, and later his death
God told Adam: “Dust you are and to dust you will return.”—GENESIS 3:19.

Humans are made from dust. (Genesis 2:7; 3:19) We are not spirits living in a body of flesh. We are physical creatures, so no part of us survives death. When we die, our brain dies too, and our thoughts perish. Thus, Lazarus said nothing about his experience of death because the dead are unconscious.—Read Psalm 146:4; Ecclesiastes 9:5, 6, 10.

Does God torment people with fire after death? Since the Bible shows that the dead are unconscious, hellfire is clearly a false teaching that slanders God. The very idea of tormenting people with fire disgusts him.—Read Jeremiah 7:31.

 3. Can the dead speak to us?
The dead can neither speak nor hear. (Psalm 115:17) But some angels are wicked, and they may speak to people and pretend to be dead humans. (2 Peter 2:4) Jehovah forbids trying to inquire of the dead.—Read Deuteronomy 18:10, 11.

4. Who will return to life?
A man who was resurrected back to life in Paradise learns about God. Then the man helps teach others who are resurrected.
Many millions of people who are dead in the grave will return to life on earth. Even some who did not know God and who practiced bad things will be resurrected.—Read Luke 23:43; Acts 24:15.

Resurrected ones will be able to learn the truth about God and to exercise faith in Jesus by obeying him. (Revelation 20:11-13) Those who return to life and do good things will be able to enjoy life forever on earth.—Read John 5:28, 29.

5. What does the resurrection tell us about Jehovah?
God made hope for the dead possible by sending his Son to die for us. So the resurrection tells us about Jehovah’s love and undeserved kindness. When the dead return to life, whom do you especially want to see?—Read John 3:16; Romans 6:23.

In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”

Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”

“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”

The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. For no word from God will ever fail.”

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Misconception: Almighty God does not need a unique name.

Fact: God himself inspired Bible writers to use his name thousands of times, and he directs those who worship him to use his name. (Isaiah 42:8; Joel 2:32; Malachi 3:16; Romans 10:13) In fact, God condemned false prophets who tried to make people forget his name.—Jeremiah 23:27

Pharoah told Moses, who is Jehovah i should serve him? After the sea came crashing down on him and his army do u think he knew Gods name then?

It is fine to bow our heads and thank God for sending Jesus to earth even tho the bible doesnt tell us his birth. We do know it ISNT 12/25.

We DO know the exact date of Passover every yr tho.The date changes every yr because they used the Jewish calendar then and it always corresponds to Nisan 14 <Jewish month and day>

It is also a command Jesus said to his 11 apostles after he dismissed Judas,to keep remembering it because he knew he would die that day and what it would mean to mankind.

Foolish statements like if he wasnt born then he couldnt have died.TRUE!But if he was born and didnt die his birth would mean absolutley NOTHING!

The command is RIGHT there...do this in rememberance of me on PASSOVER!1st Corinth 11:24

Friday 4/19/19 is The Memorial for 2019
