Squeaky shoe moment

Just wanted to impart what good thing happened when I finally decided to take care of a squeak in my shoes that was sort of drivin' me crazy. Didn't have far to drive, though.

Anyway, I saw online (youtube, of course) that if you put baby powder on the spot where you hear the squeak, it will cushion it enough to silence the squeak. It took me a few tries since I couldn't actually take the insole out of my shoe, but after about six tries, it worked.

I have a pair of sneakers that when it's raining i won't wear them , if they get wet and i'm having to walk  in a store the sound just like a duck !   Makes me crack up worse than the people around me !

The only shoes I wear are Crocs, so squeaks are simply not a problem.

I will try that in my sneakers, which squeak sometimes when I come in from the rain.

    My every day shoes don't squeak unless they're wore out. If I buy a pair that does squeak I won't wear them as often as the others. Thanks for the advise with the baby powder.

I have a pair of boots that have a squeak, and its annoying.

The squeaks always make me laugh.  I have been a few places where the squeak and it seems to be something on the floor.

wow wouldn't baby powder be slippery? MY shoes will squeak on some waxed floors a little embarrassing but I don't call them my miracle shoes for nothing so I will putup with some noise, I hurt my knees someway and the shoes helps with the no pain while doing the walking thing. How about WD40 don't try this I don't want anyone to fall.

That a good tip for squeaky shows.  I will try and when they are wet and see if works.

Thank you for the tip about the baby powder. I have shoes that make a squeaky noise that drives me crazy.

This sounds like an interesting idea, must try it the next I have problems with my shoes squeaking.

I didn’t think that shoes squeaked unless they were those fancy type office shoes. Thanks for the input.
