Father's Day - New Son

I received news just two days before Father's Day that I will be getting a new son! 


(Daughter got a diamond ring on Friday.) ;)

Congratulations! First comes love, then comes marriage and being a grand papa is right around the corner! I had an extraordinary day with my kids as we played games, went out to lunch and caught a movie. They had a little disagreement but it did not put a damper on the day. They wrote a beautiful card that moistened my eyes and bought a river dry bag for my 1965 jeep so that I could keep all of my carry-ons dry. There was no need for any body to be any place but with the family which is so weird. I cut back my work time to four hours while they slept. My son's girlfriend was out of town. My daughter and wife made a point of leaving vacation a few hours early-they were in Napa for my daughter's twenty first Birthday. So few are the days like this but Father's day definitely re-energized me.
