Stores/restaurants you miss

I miss Arbor Drugs. CVS bought them out in the late 90s, I believe.

Woolworth's.

Arthur Treacher's Fish and Chips. Best fast-food fish ever.

I don't really miss any stores, although I used to enjoy all the local bookstores. I don't buy that many books anymore, and can get my fix just wandering around the library, which is also free, so that's good.

I miss a little non-chain burger joint that was in my town.  It was called Biff Burger and as a child my family always went there on Christmas Eve while my Dad put out the presents from "Santa" then he would show up.  As a teenager I worked there and the owners daughter was my best friend. Memories for sure !

I miss all of the nicer and bigger stores as we don't have any living in this small town. Even our K-mart has closed down so now all we have is a costly grocery store, 2 dollar stores and 3 lumber companies and 2 high priced pharmacies. Even KFC has closed leaving MD's and taco bell. Yuck. and a few 3 cafes. Man this poor town has dried up to nothing. So if  I want something it is travel anywhere from 80 miles to almost 200 miles and it does get expensive. Thank heavens for a computer and being able to order on line.

I miss Kmart.  We had a tradition every year of starting our Christmas shopping there.

I miss a fast food restaurant I used to go to in high school...it served Mexican Food & it was open 24 hours... it was called Naugles ... and it was delicious & I have fond memories of it

i do miss the ground round restaurant. I also liked bradlees and woolworths.

I miss Lums, which was a restaurant I liked when I was a kid. Haven't seen one in years.

Oh, man, I don't know how I forgot these: Borders Books, and B. Dalton's. I used to love going to B. Dalton's as a kid -- so many books!
