A couple of weeks ago, I did a job titled "Very Quick Demographic Survey - Less Than 30 Seconds Required (Future Work Available After Completion) - Increased Pay."

Today, I wake up to find two back to back emails. One states the author flagged my work. The next, with the very same time stamp, says my account is banned. How on earth do you flag a demographics survey? It's not like I told them I was a different age, race, or gender. Since the switch over from Crowdflower, I've had nothing but issues with them. They constantly mark my answers as incorrect, but won't show me which ones are incorrect so that I can dispute them. At least under the old system there was a way to tell them it was marked incorrectly unfairly.

I'm contesting the flag an ban, but even if I get my account back, I won't touch them. Any company that will flag you and not tell you why without you jumping through hoops feels unreliable.

Sorry for the rant. Sleep deprived and now severely irritated.

Personally, I had nothing but the same sort of issues with Crowdflower apart from the ban. I gave up on tasks long ago.

I had plenty of issues with Crowdflower and rarely did tasks, but at least if you got something wrong, they would tell you what it was. Now, they hide the information like it's some top secret government intel.

I received the exact same emails today about the same task.  Less than 30 second demographic task.  I answered all questions honestly, as I do with all tasks and surveys.  I also sent in a dispute ticket.  I'm hoping it's some kind of error and they will correct it soon.   I'm sorry it happened to you but i'm glad to know I'm not the only one.

I had the exact same emails and filed a dispute, but I am sure it's the party that submitted the task and not Figure Eight themselves. It seems they would pay more attention to the reputation and longevity of the member and not just suspend them before they investigated all the the facts.

My guess is they will lose some membership, but I will go back if it gets resolved. It's an easy way to make that nickel to qualify for the PTC and I have even had some survey type tasks pay very well.

It's comforting to know that it wasn't just me and it's actually a shady task author flagging everyone. I will hold Figure 8 responsible though. To ban someone that has never had a flag based on a single report without any research whatsoever is bad form.

If I can't get my PTC money through videos, I prefer Tap Research.  It's fast and they don't make me jump through hoops.

It didn't take long, I already got another email that said:

Your Major Flag on Job 1282110 was removed.

However, when I try another task I get:

Account Suspended
Your account with Figure Eight has been suspended. If you would like have your account reviewed or reinstated, please contact communitysupport@figure-eight.com.

I am just going to wait and see if it gets corrected before I send an email. I got my nickel today anyway.

Was just coming to post the same thing.   I got the exact same email and the same thing when I tried to work a task.  Like you I think it might be best to wait before submitting another email.   Hope it all works itself out.

Same here. You would think while they were removing erroneous flags, they'd reinstate accounts too.

that happened to me too, and it appears a lot of others. The flag was quickly removed after I sent in a support ticket.

My tasks are working though. Though I will tend to stick to market research from now on

There was a message saying it was a mistake and everyone's account will be back.  Give it a day or 2 and I am sure it will be fixed.  I am lucky and was not one of the ones suspended.

Me, too. I can earn more credits in the same amount of time, if not faster, by completing video offers or TapResearch. I haven't done a task since the business card transcription went away.

Me, too. I can earn more credits in the same amount of time, if not faster, by completing video offers or TapResearch. I haven't done a task since the business card transcription went away.
The final straw with me was a task where I listened to audio clips and transcribed what was said. I swear, the clips all sounded like Ringo Starr speaking gibberish with a few English words thrown in for good measure.  ;D Of course, I was 'inaccurate' in my work, so I didn't get anything for it.
