City or Countryside?
« on: August 15, 2018, 03:00:00 pm »
Do you prefer to live in an urban or rural territory? I’m more of a city person as long as I can live in a quieter portion. There’s hardly anything to do in a country area.

I have lived in the city and it may be my age but right now I would love to live out in the country, lots of acreage so I could have some goats and just watch the world go by.

I prefer to live in the city, but hubby is a country person. And I really have no choice since I  need to live in a small town because of my  stepfather. I am the one it all falls on to take him to the doctor and get  groceries out of town since we don't have a  really decent  hospital here that does  surgeries. Nor  check  your eyes or anything  else .  Hubby and I didn't want to buy a big piece of land and  have to farm as he has prostate cancer and he didn't want me stuck paying on a mortgage, so we opted on a  small house that I can handle the yard work when the time comes.  Which  could be 30 years from now who knows.  He is doing really good with it.

Both, business week days in the city and quiet weekends in the country.

I did live in a very rural area and for several reasons I sold that house and moved.  I now live in a very quiet development.  Funny thing is out my glass sliding doors sitting at my dining table (where I am 90% of the time) overlooks a big pasture with cows in it.  Out my front door is the development my house is in.  I love it   Consider it the best of both worlds.

I prefer living in a more rural area.  I live on the edge of a smaller community, with a cornfield in my backyard. Over the years we've had wild turkeys, pheasants, fox, deer, etc hanging out in our yard at one time or another.  Occasionally a few cows will meander onto the yard and I have to call the farmer to come and get them.  I like to go to the city, but not to live there.

I do not like overpopulated...crowded and polluted cities.
I am a suburban person...a place between city and countryside.
I still love rural areas for get aways.
I agree there is not much to do in rural areas.
