RIP Aretha

There is probably another thread on this topic, but I didn't see it on the first page.  I'm watching the Today Show's tribute to Aretha and remembering her wonderful voice.

It just broke my heart when she went into the hospital and then to learn she died.  There was so much sass and emotion she placed into her vocals that even today's artists can't muster.  The way she delivered Think in the Blues Brothers was on a level beyond anything Taylor Swift or even Katy Perry put out.  She was honest, real, and sang every song as if it was the last one she would ever sing.  She truly was the Queen of Soul and earned every right to that title.  The music world certainly won't be the same without her and those that truly love music will always have a hole in their heart no one but Aretha could have filled.

Wonderful person as well as singer. Love her songs and piano playing. May she rest in peace.
