Olive Garden
« on: September 07, 2018, 06:45:50 pm »
My sister took me there for a belated birthday lunch/dinner. I haven't eaten there in nearly twenty years. I was surprised that their marinara sauce, at least, tasted good. If I ever go back, I may have to try a dish with their meat sauce (I got chicken alfredo).

Anyone else have an experience with being "meh"or "bleh" about a restaurant, only to change your mind years later?

Hmmmn not so much that as three of my absolute favorite restaurants in our town have been sold recently and the new owners ruined the food quality.  So I liked them and now I would not go back to any of the three.  I think it is awesome that you enjoyed your post-birthday dinner at Olive Garden.  I like Olive Garden but we don't have one in our town have to go a whole town over which I rarely do.

I don't eat out a lot so there I can't really say one way or the other. Most of the places I eat out at though I like most of the time.

I have always found Olive Garden to be too salty for my tastes.

The only time I go to Olive Garden is when I am eating with someone else who I can't tell no... Like my Grandmother.  I don't like that place at all.

We're not fans of Olive Garden.   I'm sure some of them are fine but our local one isn't.   Many times they got our order completely wrong and the taste just isn't there.  We have several independent Italian restaurants in our area that are much better.

I didn't realize that Olive Garden has been around since December 13, 1982 and that they operate 892 locations globally.  I enjoy eating there. I love their breadsticks, Chicken Alfredo and their Chicken and Shrimp Cabonara. Yum! I'm also a member of Olive Garden eClub, as a member, I'm the first to hear about news, events, and specials!

My favorite restaurant in my town had the best down home cooking meals.  They were cooked like you would cook at home at least for a southern home.  The last time I went there the quality of food was no where near what it use to be and I was so disappointed.

I usually get the alfredo sauce with either chicken or shrimp.  I am not big on the spag sauces.

Not really.  I personally like Olive Garden, but my husband who is a meat and potatoes guy, thinks you dont get what you pay for.  Therefore, we don't go there very often  :(
