Lies to get referrals
« on: September 11, 2018, 05:51:23 am »
I am curious as to if anyone on here (and I assume most have) ever google ways to make money from home or best survey sites?  I have seen I don't know how many posts that have the same list of survey sites we are all members of and it says you can expect to make this much or this much an hour with each site.

Almost every one of them says between $10-$15 an hour.  On sites like Pinterest when I can comment I call them on the BS.  There is NO way to make $10 or more an hour taking surveys.  Heck you are lucky to make 75 cents an hour most times. lol  BUT, if they can get people to join thru their referral link and do the first survey (at least on this site) right there is $3.

I guess that is the new way to make money - lie to get referrals.  Most sites pay at least $1 when you get someone to join thru your referral link.  I had someone specifically ask for my referral link to one of the sites I do.  I sent it to her and I assume she just joined by going directly to the site because she did not use my link.  >:(

I don't give referrals because I do't want any of my friends to be bombarded with emails because I gave their name out.

I had 2 friends ask for my referral link to FC. They both joined and one was doing great until something ticked her off and she hasn't come back in 3 years. I miss the extra $$. The other friend and I had a falling out politically so she never did a thing on here. She asked to be friends with me a year ago, but I saw some of her posts on a site we both belonged to and she seemed a little unbalanced, so I ignored her email and told other friends who also knew her why. We were all a political group and had a lot in common.

I tried with friends on Facebook, but no bites, but that's okay. I wouldn't want to be responsible if they weren't happy with this site. People ARE strange. :)

It's not worth it, to me at least, most people don't want to do surveys, so I don't bother doing them.

I've not done good with the referrals. And it's true once they get your information your email box is just full every day and it's not worth all the trouble

I am not talking about giving names out.  I am talking about having a website where you list all the websites you do with YOUR referral link and people click on it and join sites thru your referral.  But the person with the website lies and says you can expect to make this much or this much on this site or that one.  I do a lot of the sites I have seen advertised and the person posting it says you can make $10-$15 an hour.  Most of the sites I have seen like that I am also a member of the sites they are pushing and you might make 75 cents a day.

You do this site.  Do YOU make $12 an hour on this site?  Nobody does.

And I have never been spammed from the survey sites.

I think you all missed what I was saying.  I am not talking about sending your referral link to people you know.

I am talking about having your own website with all the sites like this one and having a link on YOUR website to the sites you are pushing.  But what most people do not realize is that link is a REFERRAL LINK so when you join thru the random site you hit that person is getting credit for you as a referral.

But, if you read their description they make outlandish claims.  I have googled how to make money from home or work from home and most of the sites are going to have links to this and other sites like this.  And in the description they say on this site you will make this much and hour.  On this site you will make this much an hour.
Almost every one of them it ranges from $10 to as much as $15 an hour.  I have called a few of them out esp if it is on Pinterest where I can comment.  You will not make $10 or more an hour doing surveys.

But if you get a ton of referrals you can end up with a good chunk of change esp if you get referrals who are desperate for some chump change. On this site alone if you can get 10 people who cash out every month that is $50 a month.  Meet your own cash out and there you have $75.

I do have my link posted in public places (legally of course) and I do not exaggerate claims on what you can make.  People I know personally, I don't even bother.  They are not interested.  Most of the people I am associated with don't need sites like this.  They seem to have plenty of money.  If they do not they are not going to waste time on surveys.  Esp when they realize it takes effort.

Did you read my last post or my orig post? This has nothing to do with YOU getting referrals. SMH.  I was asking what do you think about the websites where people post their links and exaggerate to get people to sign up.

I've suspected many of those offers were scams. I wouldn't lie to get referrals. Just feels wrong to me.

Those are just shameful.  A lot of people believe them though.  But if it were that easy to make money   everybody would be living on easy street.

Well yeah. And I said that on one of them on Pinterest where I could comment. If it were possible to make over $100,000 a year working 3 days a week for maybe 20 minutes a day the entire country could be doing it.

But if you look at the banners on THIS SITE available to use on your own website the banners are moving and flashes different phrases.  One of those phrases actually says MAKE HUNDREDS IN HOURS which is a false claim.
You cannot even make HUNDREDS in months on this site.  For the most part from people posting in here it seems the majority of people barely make cashout which out be around $300 a year.

Right now, I need to be able to make some money, real money, from home.  But none of the things I have found online are legit.  Like the blogging where they claim to make $15,000 a month.  Yeah sure you do!  Heck, I would be happy if I could make $15,000 a year doing surveys and blogging. lol

Mostly it is just a website somebody makes about "how to make money from home" and they list ways to make money at home.  And it is pretty much just a list of sites like this one. Most include this one.  And I would better that the link they provide on their website is a referral link.  FC provides you with a referral link.  They just post their referral links to all their sites.  If they get a ton of hits and can get a few referrals....that can get them a pretty penny.

I think I found this site thru where somebody had posted about it with a link.  I came directly to the site though and did not join thru the link.  I have cashed out 43 times.  That would be $215 if I had joined thru somebody's link.

SO if these people are making huge exaggerated statements about how much money you can make ie $15 an hour taking surveys then they can get quite a few people to sign up under them.  Even if they just get the $1 for the person just signing up that could add up.

But you are right, anybody who thinks at all should know the claims are false.  There is another site that has ads for itself and I have in the past been a member and they claim that their surveys pay at least $10 each or more and only take less than 5 minutes to complete.  That is total BS.  GRRR

I suck at referrals.  I went all out and designed a website.  Talked about it... I felt like a pitchy sales person.  I figure if people want to know I can tell em.  Most just raise an eyebrow when I even mention "getting paid" from my online gig.  Seems they all want the $$$ but don't wanna put the time into it.

I do have my own website.  I am still on the free version because I do not get enough traffic to justify paying for the space.  If I were getting hits I would spring for the not too much amount it costs.  It is less than $100.

I post my link on Twitter for various sites from time to time.  I can see the interaction.  The one post has been viewed over 1500 times.  And there are x number of clicks on the link.  But I have no referral credits.  Well I have the 2 that never done anything other than join up.  Didn't even confirm their email.  smh.  SO I don't know.

I think the biggest downfall is when people act like this is a job.  It is in no way a job.  And there is NO way to earn enough to live on your earnings.  UNLESS you are like a guy I use to get his news letter and he has a couple hundred thousand followers.  If HE was a member of this site and HE posted his link on his website he would probably get enough people to join thru his link that he could never log in to the site other than to cash out and get a good check every month.

When he first started he was small and he worked a full time job.  Then he starts a newsletter telling people how to get stuff for free and gets bigger and bigger.  So now THAT is his job.

But little people like me - I don't think too many are going to hit my site or see my link on Twitter or the like and join.  I would venture to bet quite a few who have seen my link on Twitter have joined.  The hash tags I used got the audience I was looking for.  But I figure they just came straight to the site.  They didn't join THRU my link. ;(
