No, thank God!  I get blood drawn every month, so that would really suck.

Not really as long as I eat well, drink plenty of fluids, get a good night's rest and stay away from caffeine and other stimulants. I have seen quite a few people, that do not follow this regimen, that get sick, pass out or seem to be more sensitive to the needle *bleep*. My wife (who is very light-maybe one hundred and ten pounds), is in great shape, eats right, gets plenty of rest/exercise,  has very low blood pressure and faints at the sight of blood or if there are temperature changes of ten degrees or more. Blood donation groups generally ask ((for your own good) if you have had a healthy meal, drank plenty of fluids, refrained from smoking/caffeine, and gotten plenty of rest. Lack of proper hydration, or too much protein in your diet, makes for a longer blood drawing period and some people have a hard time staying awake.

I have never had a problem with it, but I love the way you describe your brain saying, "Nope, bye!"  I hope somebody along the way can figure out how to help you get over your need to check out!

No.  But the last time I got my blood drawn, I got a huge bruise from it.... the girl who took it was the worst blood drawer on the planet, I'm convinced.

Yes, I have passed out on the people taking my blood several times. Its a hit or miss and they have never fully figured out why it happens to me.

I was told to eat but that doesn't even help and what happens when I have to fast.

I have noticed it happens more when they need larger amounts of blood.

Just makes me woozy or shaky. I have diabetes so I have to have my blood drawn every few months.

I don't faint but I with two vials always drawn, I tend to get dizzy then start of feel nauseous.  The nurse told me it happens at low sugar levels which is why they want you to fast for only 8hrs so if you want to get your blood drawn at 8am you got to basically eat and drink right up until midnight.  I can't eat past a certain hour because my stomach will just throw it up so I'm stuck.  What I usually do is the day before load up on things with high sugar levels like candy so that I won't be sick through getting my blood drawn.

I never could get past the idea of watching blood being drawn from my body. I have to look away and close my eyes.

Kinda depends on the person on how squeamish the person is to blood. You should always eat afterwords because that could be an issue if you don't for a while

Always makes me woozy, just seeing the needle and the thought of having it done.
