Psalm 83:18 King James Version (KJV)
18 That men may know that thou, whose name alone is Jehovah, art the most high over all the earth.

I want to draw attention to the fact that a FC member refers to Gods name as an idol. The result?

Proverbs 28:9 King James Version (KJV)
9 He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

It is a most dangerous thing to hold the name of Jehovah in disrespect, and it is a fatal thing to belittle it. On the other hand, it results in marvelous rewards to hold the name in high respect, to recognize it as the name of the true God, the Creator, the Sovereign of heaven and earth. In fact, the name identifies God as the Purposer toward his creatures, who is not an absentee or unfeeling God, but one who hears and knows those who disrespect his name or belittle it, and who will repay them accordingly. Some will look into God’s Word to find what it says about his name and will respect it and give exclusive devotion to it. Others will be like kings of old who exalted themselves and found that belittling the name of Jehovah resulted in their ruin.

I don't think any of us were born to be evil. It has something to do the parents not caring for their child properly.

We are all born sinners and it is up to those raising us to become honorable and good.  Then it is our choice whether or not to believe and follow Jesus.

Re hell.....Why isnt Satan in a fiery hell and his angels that followed him?

Through-out the bilbe we see he is NOT only on earth but he is in heaven...until in 1914 he gets removed as Book of Revelation tells us with his horde and confined to earth and the woe begins starting with first WW!

Bible even speaks of Jesus being in hell.hades.sheol.Those meaning common grave for mankind.

A  good tree produces fine fruit.A rotten tree produces rotten fruit. Its the same way with many teachings in this world. Those with the right heart condition towards Jehovah will recognize them.Satan has blinded the minds of the un-believers.
So Satan only got cast out of heaven when the JWs became organised in 1914? lol This is cult theology 101. lol
The bible students as they were called before beings called JWs were organized long before 1914.1914 was the date they pointed to that Gods kingdom was to start ruling from heaven and Satan and his angels were tossed out.YOU said the JWs were organized in 1914.Pay attn!

Pretty easy to see the woe that started in 1914 starting with WW I when Satan and his angels confined to earth.

Youd rather disagree then look up the answers to this cos your mind is already corrupted by what your Babylonish teachings spew.JW.org as a reminder.

You absolutely dont get it.Jesus said to love your enemies.Peter wasnt being attacked that he needed to draw his sword. That is backed up by what Jesus says afterward. If you had the RIGHT heart condition you might understand. You dont thats why you see as you see it and NOT as how God views it.

It really shows how blind UR.In 1 of ur earlier post you said Jesus supports Peters defense. You silly fool....then why does he say what will happen to all who draw the sword?

Stick to Star Trek...the bible ISNT fantasy world

Someone's been busy!lol

I'm not gonna go replying to every post or I'd be here 10 years.

But the fact is you have no answer (or at least sensible answer) for why Jesus told the Disciples to arm themselves. He obviously didn't want them to need to use them, (and as established, He didn't want them using them in His defence) But one does not tell someone to take a sword if they are forbidden to use it. Again God does not tempt anyone to do wrong.

You returned to the old JW "Torture Stake" reference, which, of course, flies in the face of all historic & biblical precedent.

JW's origins are probably not something you want to get into, since they started as one of a long line of "end times" cults that tried to predict the end of the world- getting it wrong each time, naturally.

And Luke Skywalker comes from Star WARS, not Trek. Get with the times!

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

Jesus scolded Peter. If you cant figure it out it just might take you 10 yrs.Its li ke many say God is all knowing. But they cant understand he can choose when to and when not to.A lesson was taught cos of Peters not understanding you dont have to use your sword around others that were armed.Jesus backed it up when he scolded him.

Im not gonna explain the torture stake reference. You are a bigboy and its up on JW.org.I understand you and many need your idol cross good luck charm...LOL!

You seem to forget many apostates and even the apostles went down the wrong path. The bible says only God knows the exact time of the end of the Satanic rule. You look for the wafer in others eyes.Take it out of yours first so u can see more clear before you try to remove it from others.

You can correct me all you want on Trek or Wars.I have no interest in either.I just see the obsession you have with themand they probably play a part with your brain.

Nitpick your own Babylonish BS!!You might make some progress then and see beyond your starry eyes.

It is neither an idol nor a good luck charm and your characterization of it in that way is a bit insulting...

Absolutely not.

First, how many times have scientists corrected themselves and ended up being wrong?

Every soul begins as an innocent, and I am for protecting the innocent. Whatever happens after that does not matter to me. At this point in time, it's a baby.

That is why when people ask if I would abort Hitler as a baby, knowing what the future held -  it is extremely easy for me to say "no."

The future is not fixed - if it were fixed, it negates free will.

As long as there is free will, the future can change.

The last thing this world needs is a bunch of people going around killing babies or children all in the name of "saving the world."

I think that is very well put.You have some that say God knew A&E would sin....well if he knew why did he bother to warn them of consequence.Again FREE will...God can choose when NOT to know the future as well. Its like a person with a good singing voice. They dont sing all the time. They choose when to.

Jehovah does not share his glory with graven images.—Isa 42:8.

I have to laugh.....how many baseball players make the sign of the cross before coming to homeplate?

The catholic church has tons of wood and stone in it to be bowed down to.Scripture in Isiah tells of a man getting a piece of wood and using it to stay warm and cook....then later he carves a god out of it.A DEAD piece of wood. How do you think the true God feels about that?Go read how the Israelites were punished after Jehovah opened the sea for them and save them only to see them bow down to golden calves.

Insult you?No it is you who insults God

Jesus said true worship is worshipping with spirit and truth...NOT wearing a cross around your neck.

If someone in your house was killed by a gun would u wear a replica of the gun around your neck?

Jehovah made the stars and the universe.Do you think he wants to be viewed as a piece of plastic? He told Moses no one can see me and live. That makes sense if he made the stars how must more dynamic must he look?

I am sure many catholic churches put the nativity scene out.First off do you think Jesus wants to be thought of as a babe in a cowstall when his father elevated to be King of Kings?

Also go read in YOUR bible Math 2nd chapter and see how the nativity scene turned into a murderous spree of 2 yr olds by King Herod.

Hello! :D :)

Yes, it is really sad that evil is taught and not neglected altogether. Thankfully there is great beauty in this world too. I've seen some amazing things being done by people with beautiful hearts. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

We will just have to agree to disagree then.

You are mistaken in your understanding of what/how the Catholic church worships, but those are far more involved topics of discussion for another place. Nobody is going to have their mind or heart changed in a forum meant for earning spending money!
Regardless of that, calling the cross a "good luck charm" is not a fair characterization.   :peace:
