I have 2 major credit cards. 1 i am trying to pay off so that I can lock it away and just use the other one. I want to build my credit score and when most of us use credit cards, we buy things we do not need.

Friendly PSA because it seems many people don't know this...

Don't cancel your credit card unless it has an annual fee. If you want to avoid temptation, just cut up the card. Closing the account hurts your credit rating.

Yes. I have two credit cards that offer zero percent interest on balance transfers once a year. My wife usually has balances so we transfer those over to my two accounts and pay them off in one year. I have one card that pays three percent back on purchases which I use, and pay off, every month. I have one card that is hooked to an online account that the family uses to make purchases. I have two other credit cards that I use every month for gas purchases so that I maintain a higher credit score. I also have one credit card, with a smaller limit, that I use for gambling and off shore purchases. Typically these get closed off by the credit card company but the one I use has been in force for seven years and appears to fly under the wire when making purchases that other cards would turn down.

I use several actually a couple more than the others though.  One I use for gasoline because it saves me 5 cents per gallon and also has other rewards and one other rewards card.  I still use the others here and there because I don't want them to get cancelled or whatever happens if you never use them which I don't know about.

Really! Interesting tip I didn't know that, thanks. So what happens when the card expires? Do you keep renewing it forever only to destroy the cards?

I have 2 one has no charges on it and the other one  is use  for small things when I can't  write a check. I don't like to use my debit when I am not sure of the company. With the  credit card I can fight them.  also I would not like someone to use my  debit card should they see me  use  it with my   code.  I use them  so  rarely  but it is good to help keep your credit score in good  standing.

My main credit card is Discover (because they pay me the most), but since they are not accepted everywhere I have a Barclays Visa card too. I pay them both off every month, so there is no interest. The Barclays card pays me points I use for travel. This year I got a week long stay in a Hampton Inn and last year we used it for a flight to London and back.

I have 2 that I use, I mostly use my Discover card, but some places don't except that card so I use the other as a backup.

I have been looking to switch banks/cards lately and it seems like most people I ask have two or three different credit cards. I've only ever had 1, I get that they offer different rewards depending on what you're buying but it seems like a headache to keep track. How many do you use?

Hello! :D :)

I currently have two credit cards and that is how I plan to stay as I don't want to complicate things. With two cards it's easier to manage and pay off both. The key is to use it in a way that can benefit you and not hurt you in the long run. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

Discover is good you get double cash back after your first year. Seems to be easy to get. Like 2 have a couple with little or nothing on them. We put expensive things on credit easier till you see the bill. Had a large plumbing bill put it on a credit  hey we got points.

I have a couple but I mainly only use one unless I reach a credit cap in which I have to use the other one to purchase stuff.

I use my Discover card the most due to the super security I have with that card and my cashback bonuses I get.  I'm saving the cashback for Hawaii!  The only other one I use is my Kroger Mastercard.
Have a wonderful day!
