What kind of tree, and how tall, do you have.  We have a 6 foot artificial tree.

I like real trees that are about 6 ft. I love the smell of it and when the season is over, I can get rid of it instead  of packing it away in a box.

We get a real tree for the living room and then have an artificial one that we put up in the family room. The real one is 6 ft, the artificial one is 5ft.

We have a small prelit tree that we set on a table in front of a window.  We alternate decorating it with homemade ornaments one year and store bought the next!

    Oh! Christmas Tree...
    Oh! Christmas Tree.
    Holy Christmas Tree!
In general, I do not like
    to destroy living plants!

I am allergic to trees so I have no choice but to get artificial.

Now that I am retired and my kids are on their own, I have an artificial tree that is about 42 inches tall and i put on a small table. I don't have to worry about watering it or all the needles falling off nor do I have to haul a large tree in and out.  It suits my purposes!

I have an artificial tree because a hard tree is very hard to put up and dispose of when it is over.
