My husband and I own our own business.  We work for each other and with each other.  Business has been very successful ( sometimes too successful ).

Though every job or business has it's pros and cons, I have to say that our business, my job, has many more pros than cons.

I wouldn't trade it for anything else. No, I don't hate my job, I like it very much.

The people I work with have significant influence over my attitude about work.  I've had jobs that were really boring, no-where jobs, but the people were nice.  That made all the difference.

If I do not like my job...I look for a different one.
It is part of the "job satisfaction dilemma".
Been there! I am a hard worker. Why work in a
    place you do not like.

Because depending on where you live sometimes you may not have a choice. I have worked on jobs that I absolutely hated but didn't have a choice. And there isn't always another job available.

I used to hate my old job, worked there for 15 years and the last 2 years of it it became a toxic environment that was making me sick, Micro management from both Boss and a co-worker.  This co-worker, lets called him Joe, took it upon himself to "Review MY work" for errors and instead of going back to me and tell me about it, he would accumulate like 50 pages of errors and sent them to my manager to get me in trouble, my level of stress was in 1,000%; let me clarify that there were petty errors and little things that really had no baring on the overall work, yes I would make effort to do better, but no matter what I did, Joe would always find something to tell on me.  The worst part of it all was that I went back and check for errors too, and found some from Joe and even worst than me was another co-worker making the same errors that I was, but he was never called for them because Joe would only looked for My errors.  The Manager would ridicule me in front of everyone and called my "Her Highness", I was the only female.  It was awful.

I found another job a few months ago, and left them without a look back, they tried to get me to stay, until they could find my replacement, since we were only 5 people, 2 were going on vacation at the same time I quit, and there was only going to be the Manager and Joe holding the fort.  Of course, I did not stay, Joe likes to control everything he could do it.

My new job is wonderful and the stress is gone.  So NO I do not hate this job, but hate having to work at all.

To feel as though you are stuck forever in your job at such a young age is tragic.  You have to enjoy what you do in order to be your happiest.  Try looking into a life coach.  They are wonderful in guiding folks to think and act out of the box.  I have done this and am now looking forward to having my 1st book of poetry published.  I wish you the very best!

I hate mine, but know I can't get paid any better anywhere else. So I'm basically stuck here until I retire, and I'm 32 years old. Anyone hear of the FIRE movement? Financial independence, retire early. It makes so much sense to me, but my salary isn't enough to give me much wiggle room for financial independence. I'll probably be working into my late 60's.

Hello! :D :)

I love my job and that in itself is awesome to say because three years ago if you asked the same question I would have answered yes. I love working from home on my own terms and being my own boss. I don't think you should be in a job you hate since many hours are spent working. Live the life you want, your best life. :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:  :rose:

I'm thankful for the ways and means it provides for my daily funds. I dislike the behavior of the clients and coworkers.

Anyone in your situation would love their job.  I would love to be able to work from home ON A REAL JOB not calling survey taking a job lol.  Although if you search the job boards I have seen "Survey Taker" listed as a JOB.  SMH.  Working for yourself where everything is on your own terms would be even more great.  I looked at the sites you told me about a few weeks ago but nothing seemed to be a real job.  Not something where I could make real money.

I think any time you work with people in any way you will find this an issue.  People are horrible and getting worse. Everybody seems to have the ME disease.  They all want everything their way and on their terms. People are just looking for a fight every where they go.  They are looking for a reason to argue with you or run to the boss and tell on you (maybe score a few points).  If I were a boss and I had a tattle tale I would probably find a reason to get rid of them If no other reason for being a tattle tale. lol

And if you work in customer service customers no longer have legit complaints or concerns or issues.  They have I want this for free and I will lie or do whatever to make that happen.  It doesn't matter that they may get somebody in trouble who done nothing wrong with their lie.

YEARS ago I worked in fast food and this girl called back and said we left like 3 items out of her bag. I  was literally screamed at and cussed by a manager.  Another manager intervened and told me to go in the back and he took over my position and got her to leave me alone.  I knew I didn't mess anything up but the customer is always right.  Oddly enough a couple years later I was working with a woman who was laughing and said guess what I done once.  She told about the incident that night and said she lied to get some free food.  I thanked her and told her she got me in a lot of trouble so she could get a free burger.
