First of all, the stats reported in the above post appear to be right on.  It is open knowledge that a majority of Americans don't support the wall as a priority.
Second of all, the S & P reports that the shutdown could cost the economy as much as 1.2 billion per week.  Yes, let's add that to the already staggering national debt and a wall on top of that.
Thirdly, TSA and Border Patrol are not getting paid as well as Air Traffic Control and Prison Guards, but by all means, let's pay that wimp Pence and some of those other blowhards in Congress.
Fourth, tax returns will be withheld so if you are in need and counting on that, forget it!
Fifth, national parks and museums are not open so the tourist industry is taking a hit!
Sixth, it is up in the air whether Native Americans will receive pay, food, or medicine!

So, by all means, over a dang wall that those who really want in will be able to figure out how to get around, build that billions of dollars wall rather than pass common sense immigration policy that has definitive criteria we can stand by and make known. Trump was offered some money in return for a Daca policy but it wasn't enough for His Highness.

What a mess, we live  in Maryland, so a lot of federal workers and contractors are being impacted. Hope it gets resolved soon.

The fake news is Mexico is paying for the wall.  And Mexico along with the Democrats said Nope, not going to happen.

Always a fall back to fake news unless the statistics support their beliefs. D- for originality. When faced with reality becomes time to start throwing out Limbaughisms or the sheer objective Hannity point of view (LOL). The wall is poorly planned: six feet deep which leaves at least fifty four feet of space with which to dig under the wall. What happened to Mexico Paying for it? The request for five billion is not even twenty percent of what the true cost would be and Mexico has indicated that not a single peso will be spent by them. The government can not even afford to stay open...what will another thirty billion dollars, for a fence that easily to circumvent, do to our budget? And then we can begin work on a fence to keep Canadians out?

It doesn't have anything to do with "fake news".  You cannot be that stupid.  The ONLY way the stats could be accurate is if every person in America were asked the question and every person gave an answer.  They poll certain people and they poll who they want to get the answer they want. Kind of like how when you answer a certain way you get kicked out of surveys on here.

The government is not shut down because it cannot afford to stay open.  It is shut down because the democrats refuse to fund the wall to protect our southern border.  You can deny that all you want but that is the only reason it is shut down.

No it isn't.  In order to say most Americans do not support the wall you would have to ask every American. That has not happened.

And you have no idea tax returns will be with held.  They screamed that last year too and I got mine back with in a couple of weeks.

Trump should have never said that Mexico was going to pay for the wall.  This is all his fault and he is acting like a child that cannot get a toy because there is no money for it.  Just worried that the poor military will not get paid if this continues.

You don't understand the parameters of taking polls.  Polls are taken all the time and certain demographics are asked up front so that a cross section of people can be exemplified.  So, quit talking about having to ask every single American.  That has nothing to do with the scientific method of taking polls. And yes, polls can be done so that they lean either way, but the majority of polling supports that a majority of Americans are not in favor of a ridiculous wall!

As far as tax returns are concerned, as of the present, and that's all we can talk about, Trump is talking about prolonging the shutdown. If that is the case, it won't be much longer and people's tax refunds will be delayed.  So talk about what you know because you don't know everything...obviously!

LOL No he isn't.  Obama shut the government down when until he got his obamacare passed.  And that has been the biggest disaster ever.  It is hilarious that democrats scream and stomp and condemn Trump for this but thought what obama down was okay.  SMH

It is funny you think the Republicans should just back down and let the dumos have their way but don't think the dumos should give an inch.

This has nothing to do with him saying Mexico would pay for the wall.  There IS money for the wall.  The dumocrats just don't want to use it for that.

The military will continue to get paid.  He already said that.

LOL Yes I understand and I will talk about whatever I want to.

You cannot take a biased poll and then say this is what the majority of Americans think.  You cannot have 326 MILLION people and survey 1000 of them and cheat to get the results you want and then say that is how the majority of American feels.  Even if the poll was straight up honest you cannot poll a certain percentage which is NO WHERE NEAR the entire population and then say the results are for ALL of American because you did not ask all of America.  But you will never accept that because you are hearing from YOUR source what you want to hear.

I hear from other sources that over 60% of Americans are FOR the wall.  So it is all in WHO you hear or listen to.  And before you pop off with it NO I do not watch Fox News!  But the fact is the news sources are all dishonest and you cannot believe any of them.

But you cannot blame Trump and the Republicans 100% and say the dumos are completely innocent.  If you think they are looking out for you then you have some serious mental issues.  They are out for themselves and no one else.

I feel really sorry for all the people who are either out of work or having to work with no pay.  I worked in local government for over 30 years and it is hard when you have to take furloughs.
