Government Shutdown hurts federal workers since they have to work without pay, national parks are closed and especially  people who need assistance.

They are not working without pay.  They will get paid.  Still not understanding who you are saying is being hurt who NEED ASSISTANCE.   The welfare checks will still go out.  National parks being closed in the middle of winter is not a big deal as most are closed now any way.

No, Mr. Trump signed the executive order to freeze their pay. Some of these people have quit their jobs. Some government organizations ordered their workers to work without pay or be disciplined. They will only be paid if the government is reopened and shutdown is over.  Yes welfare programs like food stamps or welfare checks are still going but those programs can be stopped if funding runs out. Most national parks are closed because of the shutdown. Only a few are open. Get your facts straight.

lol You are the one who needs to get your facts straight.  If they are working they WILL be paid.  They are not working for free. They WILL receive back pay.  And President Trump tried to pass a bill that would pay the workers their first missed pay check but only 6 democrats voted with him. The rest against.  So it failed.  Guess they were serious when they said they will VOTE AGAINST ANYTHING that Trump tries to do.

Have not heard anything about anyone quitting their job.  Yes many have signed up for unemployment and many are calling in sick

It is pathetic that the democrats are so h*ll bent on being right that they refuse to fund something that is around 9% of the total budget.  And we do need border protection.  I saw this morning where one of the democrats voted against a budget because it included funding for ICE.  Oh yeah she is hispanic.  Of course she doesn't want funding for something that will stop illegals from coming in to the country.

For the life of me I cannot wrap my mind around how people can not grasp the concept of ILLEGAL.  Immigrants coming to the US is not the problem. It is people crossing the border ILLEGALLY that is the problem.

I do fear this will not end well.  As has been seen right here on this thread people are so full of hate they could care less about people.  All they care about is screaming for their side.  My side is right and your side is stupid.  I am right and you are wrong. My news source is right and yours is wrong.

Here is a news flash for you
:  You cannot believe anything that is on the news any more.  The media is biased against President Trump and if you do not see that then you just have your eyes closed. I don't care if you like him or not the truth is the truth. I have a friend who is democrat and she can see it.   I have listened to a speech he has given then 2 seconds later listened to the news tell me what he said and all I can think is were you drunk when he was speaking because that is NOT what he said.

Like I said, at this point, I do not see this ending well.  Nobody will give in.  Nobody will compromise.  The democrats (who ARE the ones who are voting against the budget) if they cared as much about the American people as they say they do - they would pass this budget and get the government back open.  They are all still rich and they could care less about the American people.  They care about the power they have.  That is it.

Okay, first off, I would advise you to not call me names.

Second, you really need to proof read what you type.  Because your post is incomprehensible.  Not really sure what the heck you are trying to say.

Stop the blame game? YOU are doing the same thing.  And President Trump is NOT the only one who wants the wall.  Actually read the comments on this thread. Several have said they are also in favor of the wall.  So is over half of America.

And I never said I was rich.  Trust me, if I were rich I would not waste my time on a penny clicking site tying to make a little extra cash.

And no they are not going to just "dig under it".  If the wall is built correctly it will stop the invasion.  Or at least greatly slow it down.  The illegals cost our country 100 times more than what the wall will cost.  Oh yeah, you don't believe that either. lol

I hope the shut down ends very soon. I feel bad for those people working without pay. The effects of the government shut down eventually affect the whole country the longer it continues.

The biggest way I see that it is effecting the whole country is further dividing us.  People are so consumed with hate.  Use to it was more of a race thing.  Now it is a political party thing.

It's so heartbreaking.  I think the people who claim it's no big deal don't have a federal government job and/or never had to live scrapping buy paycheck to paycheck.  My father retired last year or my parents would be in the same boat.  And their healthcare payment comes out of their paycheck so at this point they wouldn't even have healthcare.  A shut down to play politics doesn't hurt the ones playing that game.  Congress is still getting their paycheck.  The President is still getting his pay check.  I personally know people who are getting evicted from their homes because they can't pay the mortgage.  Others have security clearances which involves a good credit score.  Unable to pay their credit cards because things like utilities and food must come first lowers their credit score which means they might not have a job to go back too.  I say a bill needs to pass into law that if Congress and the President can't pass a budget their paychecks fund the Government so federal workers don't have to wonder where their next meal is coming from, the Government does.  It is not right that people take federal jobs for that security, for that notion their job will still be there tomorrow unlike jobs such as stores and restaurants which can close at a moment without notice.  And now their all scrambling/heartbroken/crying because their starving/homeless/looking for a second job.  Screw Trump and his 5b.  There is a deficit and no money for that wall.  I might have been inclined to agree with him but his reasoning is the only people coming over are gang members/drug dealers and prostitutes.  He's putting millions out of work for his own insecurities and prejudice--but that's another matter.  The matter is America as a whole is hurting because congress can't figure out how to come together and work.  I say they shouldn't get paid if they can't pass a budget, not the American people.

You know, it's not just Federal Government workers who are suffering.  That funnels down to everyone else too.  Without two paychecks now they don't have any extra money.  That means restraunts are hard hit.  I have friends who rely on those tips because working in places like that pay near to nothing.  They aren't making it.  Neither is retail or any other store for that matter.  If they have money it's got to do to utilities, morgage and car payments.  If their is any money left that could go to food.  Who's going to by anything like clothes or cars or even power tools?  It's always the little guy that gets hurt not the ones that start the mess and keep it going.

The President is not getting a paycheck.  Or technically he is but he has DONATED every paycheck he has received.

They only missed ONE paycheck so if these people are being evicted from their homes it is not because of the shut down.  You have to miss 3 payments before you are evicted. Not be a couple of weeks late.

They also are not staving.  Most people have food in their house to eat. May not be what they want but it is there. Besides that you can get a bag of beans for a couple of dollars and eat all week.  Oh yeah but they don't want that.  Well suck it up buttercup.  There are people working retail or unemployed who are not working government jobs but nobody wants to talk about them.

You need to take a good look at what all is in the budget and where the money is going. It isn't all for the American people.   The money for a border wall is less than 10% of the budget.  Not a big deal at all.  And ALL the democrats who are voting against this have previously voted FOR it.  They are only against it now because a Republican (Trump) is suggesting it.  If you look you can find video where pretty much ALL of them have said in the past we need a border wall.  Including your precious 44 and Clinton too.

I will point something else out - you act like you are SO concerned about the American people ---  These ILLEGALS are costing the US close to 300 BILLION dollars a year.  In case you are not good at math that is a whole lot more than the 5 billion needed to build a barrier to stop some of the illegals from waltzing across the border.

Maybe you live in Sunshine town where it isn't a problem.  Try living in one of the towns where they are over run and flooded with illegals.  And whether you want to accept it or not they DO get government benefits.  You can scream no they don't but you are wrong.  I know for a fact that they do.  People need to stop arguing and look at what it going on.

The United States is already over crowded.  There are not enough jobs for the American citizens to earn a livable wage.  You know the people you just said you were SO concerned about because they are starving and homeless.  The whole world cannot move here.  And the ones who do need to come legally.  It isn't that hard of a concept to grasp.

Sorry but a wall is not going to stop the biggest source of illegal immigration...visa overstays.  Illegals are not signing up for benefits infact many are paying in to the system under fake numbers that they will never collect on.  They proudly work in jobs that are "beneath" many Americans, are taken advantage of by employers.

The hate in this country is amazing (suck it up buttercup) there is no compassion left at all.  Trump has been the downfall of society.  I am very afraid of the future of this country.

Visa over stays is NOT the biggest source of illegal immigration.  The biggest source is the people coming illegally across the border.

And yes illegals are signing up for benefits.  It is not fake numbers.  This has nothing to do with compassion.  If you come here legally then you are welcome.  If you sneak in to the country illegally you start out being a criminal.  I will agree with you on one thing - I fear for the future of this country.  And FYI the downfall of this country started with the big 44 not Trump.  But thank you for showing you are full of the hate you accuse others of having.

It also amazes me you admit they are working under "fake numbers" aka somebody else's social security number and you seem to think that is okay.  Btw, they use that same fake SS number to get a voter card and they do vote.  A lot of states they do not even need the ID anyway.

And if YOU had personally been effected by some jack wagon illegal using your social security number then you would probably be a little less okay with it happening.  Because when they work "UNDER YOUR SS NUMBER" then at the end of the year YOU have to pay taxes on that money that you did not get.

Government workers were working for free until Trump decided to reopen the government. It's not fair to do that all over a wall and I believe it's deeper than that.
