What is the max that you would spend on a gift?
« on: December 24, 2018, 04:09:23 pm »
If I buy something for a loved one, especially if I know they want a certain item, I would spend $100. Of course if it is a spouse it would be more, but for brothers/cousin, etc., I do not see going over $100.

We bought the Nintendo for kids  years ago aboutb100.00 and the game  60.00 this was back in 94 or 95. Now Playstation 4 is 350.00  wouldn't pay  that much. My son  grown son bought one for himself.

I agree with the people who said it depends on who the gift is for.

I don't put a limit on anything.  I spent more than that on my parents (each).  It depends on how close you are to them and what they want and how much money you have.

That is kind of a hard question to answer. It depends on the situation I am in financially first. It also depends on how close I am to the person and if I think the gift is worth it. For example, the most I can spend on a gift for my mother right now is about $50, but If I had a comfortable income, I would buy her a $25000 car if I could.

And that is fine. You know your limits and what you can afford at this time.
