We don't have KMart for a while here.The future will be online for us,all of us.

      I worked for Kmart years ago and Walmart over took the retail market back then. Now Sears owns Kmart.
They might go bankrupt but, some millionare is suppose to help them out.

Wished sears never bought out Kmart in the first place. Since they now own them, many more kmart stores are closing. There few blocks away where I used to live got closed. I guess I'll shop at Costco, Best Buy, Amazon, and more expensive places like Kohl's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Ross, Marshalls, Macy's, and JCPenny's. I do not want to shop at Walmart or Target too much since I don't care much for those stores.

Well, there goes another piece of the childhood, LOL. But as someone else mentioned, competition is very fierce nowadays that, as a business, you have to continually evolve in order to remain operational. When you continue to use the same business model for years and years, you run the risk of ending up like Toys R Us, K-Mart, Sears, and other stores. And the advent of online shopping makes matters even worse.

The last of our KMarts closed Sunday, with sales of 90% off.

I guess it depends on where you live and YOUR attitude.  Most of the employees at our Walmart are pretty helpful.  There are a couple who are hateful but you have that everywhere.  And when you deal with customers I can see why some of them would be hateful.

If Sears had not have bought K-Mart they would have ALL closed a long time ago.  It is like Dollar General.  They went bankrupt a few years ago.  Completely busted.  Another company bought them and they still operate under the DG name.

It is because that is what the people want.  People are making the choice to order online instead of getting out and going to the store.

Our local K-Mart is a dump. lol Doesn't seem like it'll be open long. Pity. I used to like shopping there.

Our Kmart closed about a year ago and now some of our Dollar General stores are closing
