Infected daily email
« on: January 08, 2019, 03:34:24 pm »
Ugh, I have once again been warned to get the heck off a page I was sent to after completing my daily email, from my Avast. It really bothers me that FC allows these, or that they don't check them before accepting them. I hope I have no computer damage  :(

I had Avast too and wasn't a fan. It's very sensitive and flags almost everything as being a potential threat. I got tired of the constant popups and uninstalled. I'm using Bitdefender now. No popups so far. It does its job in the background.

I got the warning today when I clicked on Daily Email. I was using safari which is very protective.

I know what you mean!  I get that too and now I shut down the email right after I click it, even though it says to keep it open 60 seconds.   They seem so buggy and virusy.   They didn't used to be that way.

It is scary for me when I see those pop ups. I have mcafee and still get it.

I get these too and sometimes I get them on the ads from the PTC. I hope FC changes this, it can be kind of annoying.

I got another one today on PTC. Clicking on the sponsor ad. Closed it out asap. Maybe Avast is over sensitive but I'd rather have that than under sensitive. Besides, I rarely, if ever, get the warnings anywhere else. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE FC but it just seems they may be a bit lax on links sometimes.

Yes, the same here with that happening on 'sponsored ads' in PTC.

That happens to me also from time to time. I always use the same browser so not sure why some days I get it and other days I do not. Im not too worried about it as it has never caused me any problems.

It is not a big deal.  This happens to me every day.  I get a pop up saying the page is not what it is suppose to be.  It is not going to hack your compute or infect it with anything.
