Just Google it. You present the most interesting dilemmas.

I would think that, being omnivores, guinea pigs eat ruffage (e.g., lettuce, leaves) or small vegetables. Perhaps they eat pellets as well. I used to have a hamster, so I would assume the same would apply to guinea pegs. If I was you, I would conduct a Google search or go to a pet shop for further information.

I have 3 little piggys!!! Olivia, Tucker, and Dally! I built my own three level cage out of coriplast and fast track shelving system! They are a little spoiled I guess. They need MOSTLY timothy hay to eat!!! this is 75% of their diet and really important. You can give them fresh vegetables but should not be relied upon as a main entree! They are for treats and should only get a little but a day if desired! Also, it is a MUST to but vitamin C drops in their water to prevent them from scurvy! And make sure you are careful when clipping their nails, if they are black nails you will need a special light to see the quick to prevent from clipping to deep. For the bathing, you can wash in DAWN dish soap and they LOVE to swim, but make sure you are prepared for them to be freezing when they get it out, it just happens. I have a little warmer for them until they dry all the way. I do this one day a week and daily I use Citrus magic foaming pet cleanser, Vibrant life deodorizing wipes for dogs and puppies, and also a quick final spray of Oster fresh snuggles freshening spray for dogs will help keep them from smelling like a pig pen!!! lol. PIGGIES ARE the best! They are NOTHING LIKE RATS!!!
-Wheek wheek!

I am sorry, but I have no clue, why guinea pigs, and not dogs or cats...?

I think guinea pigs are adorable but would not want one as a pet.
I have had cats, dogs, birds, fish, a pony!
A duck! A bunny!, gerbils, rats and mice.
As for a rodent as a pet, I think the best choice is the rat.
They are so friendly and cuddly!!
The downside: they have a very short life span. 😢

Guinea Pigs are much cuter than rats.  And I like rats.  YouTube has some good videos on caring for GPs

I am more of a hamster person myself. Easier to take care of my opinion...and they are much smaller (which makes them a lot cuter) :)
