I don't tend to watch anymore as I am old school and most of these artists I have no idea who they are or even listen to their music.

I quit watching award shows years ago. The only people I know of who even cares are the performers.

I have to agree with him. These awards shows have gotten way out of hand and have also gotten to political.

I have not watched the Grammy's in years. One reason is that I have not had cable for a long time and the other reason is awards shows are not entertaining the way how they used to be anymore. I lost interest.

watched it and loved it. I can't wait for the CMA'S, that's my favorite.

I don't watch the Grammys either.  Not really interested in the 'famous' people - just listen to the music if I like it and turn it off if I don't  8)

I always enjoy watching the award shows...but that is why you have more than one channel.  If you like wath, if you don't then don't watch.  As for political and other opinions given out, they each only have one vote just like you and me.  It does not mean any more or less than everyone one here giving their opinions.

I stopped watching award shows. The Grammys were the first to go. Music has gone to the dogs in the past 10 years. Next to nothing has been good on the radio.

Google JediJohnnie and May the Force be with you!

The problem with all award shows really is it's a popularity contest.  They no longer hand out awards to the most deserving of the bunch.  To producers and networks it's all about numbers so in order to stay contemporary and get people to watch they give out the awards to whomever is 'it' at the time.  As for Cardi B, she likes to make waves so her name is on everyone's lips in hopes of fronting her music.  I honestly prefer lady Gaga and Nicki Minaj to her.  There is a real honest to their music that is just lacking in Cardi B.
