When are you an adult?

For most it's around 18 some places its 21+ for some reason.

I felt like an adult when I got married and my husband and I had our own house.  We had jobs, bills in our names, car payments. I was 19 when I got married.  I suppose everyone has a different answer.  Once you turn 18 your legally an adult, but for some they act like an adult before 18... others take much longer to mature.

A lot of people are adults long before they start acting like one.  I know people in their late 20s who are immature and act like a kid.  But they are adults.  They just need to start acting like one.

When someone joins any branch of the U.S. military that person is taking on the responsibility of protecting an entire country.  Thanks, NRAJoe, for your commitment to serve.  Knowing this makes me appreciate the freedoms I have known and come to expect that much more.  My dad (a member of the group referred to as "The Greatest Generation") repeatedly tells his story of enlistment in this way -- he chose the Army, but when going through the "process" he wound up in the Navy.  It proved to be the best thing that ever happened to him; he was awarded the Bronze Star.  He got an education in the field of electronics and that led to a fulfilling career with RCA, a progressive company that dominated electronics and communications for 50 years.

As the oldest of my parents' four children I always count my blessings.

I really don't want this to happen to me. But to answer the question, I think it happened when I created a bill I am to pay it. But now I can scream I rather go to jail than pay it, I do pay my bills, I paid all my bills!!  Honestly, having kids did not make me growup, I wish it did, just made the survival basic instinct kickin. I wish you  no heart aches.

When one is 18 you are usually and adult, BUT, some don't reach adult hood until much later.

             That adult question, when    Well most of go with what society has put age restrictions for certain tasks in life, like when you can get to drive a car to when we can drink alcohol legally. Feeling/acting like an adult vs a younger person varies per person.

Legally, 18 is an adult.  Some people never act like adults.  If you are 50, still not acting like an adult, not paying your way or whatever, the law would consider you an adult.  So, for purposes of the law, going to court, voting, joining the military, etc, 18.   Drinking age varies from state to state.

Hasn't happened to me yet, but I'm only nearly 34.

    It depends on the country or state. Most of them consider 18-21 the legal age.
    Unfortunately, some people never grow up...and depend on others the rest of their lives.
