That's a very pleasing cashout for late in March. Kudos!
I decided to roll mine forward and cash out this Friday, May 31. I'm on target and have accumulated $101.30, much to my surprise! This year is NOT like last year and I've had to push myself (in unhealthy ways) to get that much.
I'm worrying about blue light emission {which can penetrate into the retina of the eye} from my PC -- and with good reason -- my eye exam has me a bit concerned now. I am technologically literate (many, many years working on computer screens) so I've known about the so-called dangers that computer devices can pose. Why I haven't looked into a blue light blocking screen protector panel before now I'll never know?
Does anyone in this forum have any personal experience with these protective screens?
I have had the girl that does the pre exam ask how many hours I spend looking at computer screens or phone screens and when I answer she just sits there with a stupid look on her face and her mouth hanging open catching flies.
But no doctor has ever said anything about it to me. SO I don't know if she writes down what I say or just makes something up. I spend a lot of time looking at a computer screen and at my phone.
This is what my
young eye doctor told me (not her exact words,
but if you look this up online you'll find this rule):
"If you find yourself gazing at screens all day, your eye doctor may have mentioned this rule to you. Basically, every 20 minutes spent using a screen, you should try to look away at something that is 20 feet away from you for a total of 20 seconds." It's known as the
20-20-20 rule.
Well, my bad ... my very, very bad! I had not followed
this rule nor even heard about it until last year, however, I've always known to take time periodically to get up and away from the screen to gaze at the horizon. Most of my career I've been fortunate to have a window which I used often for that purpose -- knowing it would help my eyes to adjust from the close-up screen work that I've performed so meticulously.
