Our guys lost out already, but the Lady Ducks are going to the Final Four and they are already winners no matter what comes next.

I have been watching some of it with my hubby.  My son was glad Duke finally lost after some very close games.  That young man from Duke was very distraught after their last game.  I usually watch the last 5 minutes of the games. I found out from my son March Madness last into April.

Yes they are winners already! and might become the winningest winner, or champion of champions if you will.

The tournament is broken into 4 regions, with 1-16 seeds in each, equating to a total of 64 teams (excluding the 4 'play in' games they refer to as the 'first four', so technically 68 teams in total, as 4 of those will lose and the brackets will be set).

To reach the Final Four is to have WON your region / bracket outright. This is why making the Final Four is a huge deal, even if you do not continue on to win the National Championship.

I found out from my son March Madness last into April.
The Final Four is usually set by the end of March, thus the madness is over (tons of games) and all that remain are the top contenders (3 games left, 2 semi-finals and then the championship game).
