Wow didn't think that FC would allow such behavior on here like that, B.R. A.P. / Being Respectful Always Prevails, that person needs to learn that.

You also have to remember just because you see something as rude or disrespectful doesn't mean it is. Everybody takes things differently.  You may think oh that should not be allowed and there be nothing wrong with the comment.  I have seen people get all bent out of shape saying someone was disrespecting them.  I read the same comment and didn't see anything wrong with it.

Disagreeing is not disrespecting.  I have learned that most people online cannot have a conversation.  People get too mad.

If I don't like what someone is saying or do not want to read their comments I just "ignore" them.  Or on other sites I block them if it is an option.

I wouldn't feel bad about blocking people if they don't feel bad about being offensive *shrug*

You can use the ignore member if you do not like what they are saying to you.

I didn’t even know you could block people and I have been on here quite awhile. How do you go about blocking someone.

I did not know you could block people here.   I usually just read past the person.

I didn’t even know you could block people and I have been on here quite awhile. How do you go about blocking someone.

You cannot 'block' them.  You can "ignore" them.  Under where the comment is there is a thing that says "IGNORE MEMBER".  Click that.  You will still see that they are posting but you won't see WHAT they post.  It will say "you are ignoring this member".

If you are so offended by other people's comments that you cannot handle seeing them post then you might as well stay off the internet altogether.  When you are online you are posting with a much wider scope of people than your personal little world.  You will see people you do not agree with what they are saying.  And people can post something and they way they mean it and the way you read it can be totally different.

Unless somebody launches a personal attack on you calling you names and putting you down then I would just ignore them and go on.  Why get stressed about it?  Either click the "ignore" button so you don't see them or scroll on past without reading what they say.

If you look below at the related subjects threads like this have been started as far back as 2009. lol

There also it a problem when it comes to posts , there have been many times i've posted , texted or written things that the person takes 100% wrong , AND the little smile faces don't make it always work.  I find allot of people over think a post and read into it different meaning.  I have a pretty good hunch  she is talking about the post i made saying people who copy stuff on face book can be stupid.  NOT meaning this lady at all... I have a FB  with 4300 people all on dog stuff and  get hundreds of stupid post a month.  Some are just plain well some make me really wonder ?/  I have a problem with ski masks and guns as i was held up in my mothers office , tied to a chair and pinched with pliers and cracked across the face with a gun and still wear the scar .  And any thing to do with these type jokes i don't always see as funny !  I'm sorry if you were hurt , it was not ment to be mean.  Also this time of year hurts me to death as its the day my mom died.   And I hate being with out her at Easter every year as you do over your husband !  So again if its my post i am  very sorry !

I admit that I sometimes used to say too many rude things online, but now I know better.

You are right in people over think things.  And I think a lot of things are taken the wrong way.  I can type something and thinking it in my head it is totally innocent. But depending on somebody's mental state of mind on any particular day they take it all wrong.  And some people are just offended by everything.  And some people are just looking for a fight.  And others just want to feel high and mighty and correct people. And NO I am not directing my comments at any particular person on this thread. SO if you feel it is toward you then YOU have the problem.

It is like the jokes you said you do not find funny.  With me I guess it depends on the joke.  Some of the old cartoons that are kind of the same thing I don't have a problem with.  I don't think you should yell at somebody for sharing a cartoon like that. But again, it depends on the cartoon.  The old Bugs Bunny cartoon type things where the guy has on a mask and has a gun is nothing to get upset about. But some of the ones today that are graphic and violent I don't like.  Or that depict killing certain public people who are well known.

For the most part people are snowflake pansies these days and if anybody disagrees with them they get all butthurt and want to shut the other person down.  There is a difference in disagreeing and personally attacking someone.

If somebody has a problem with your posts I would not worry about it.  If they don't want to see what you post they can "ignore member" and they will not see it.

Btw, I am sorry about your mom.  I would think all holidays are harder.

you said it right countrygirl. everybody says and thinks differently. thats what makes people different. if everybody says and thinks the same way, then this would be a robotic world..
