I think the reason that the US is losing more companies is because of the overpriced cost the government charges in taxes so they move their companies overseas and get lower paid employees . It is wrong but it is the way it is. :peace:

well if he hadnt signed that NAFTA agreement then the jobs that were here and the older generations depended on those jobs, then people who had those same jobs would probably still be working instead of struggling to find work. that NAfta agreement was signed around the time old bill c barn door flew open. and all opinions on this matter are correct. i just reopened something to start a conversation, not get anybody riled up. if u dont like me or my conversations, thats okay too. i dont force anybody to do either read my posts or like me. im here for the same reason everybody else is

I live in a county where almost ALL the jobs went bye-bye because of NAFTA.  We had 2 well known textile companies but not the only ones, (plenty of others around the county) and a world famous shoe company. Shoe Company was bought by Chinese when owners died and after they learned the technology they closed the factory down. People who worked there 50 years were lost. It was their only job all their life. My mom was one of them. Now we have fast food places. No one likes learning a new trade at 40 or older with no job training unless you take courses you have to pay for....we had a thriving economy here until NAFTA, now the real estate people are making a fortune because they're buying up farms and selling off postage stamp yards with $300K homes that people who lived here all their lives can't afford.

Does anybody remember what Bill Clinton did several decades ago?  How does he stop you from finding a job?  Guess what the blame is on you, not someone else.

guess what, the blame is on the employers who discriminate by not allowing hard working people in their doors. bill clinton instigated that when he signed nafta agreement. it also didnt help when he chose to use the white house as his own personal playground. that is a workplace, not hugh hefners mansion. if you had read evrything that was said, this was only a topic of discussion. i dont give a fig about old bill now that i know he cant get back in office. that agreement really hurt a lot of people. including me. i looked for a job for a long time before i finally found one. but a lot of employers now look for applicants who have taken and gotten a level of skills tests before they look at you. and believe me that test is as hard as an act test.

Even tv shows are talking about things that happened over 20 years ago.  Everyone is responsible for their own actions.
