dobt see it much where i live.

You may just not be aware of it.  I was actually surprised to find out all of the freebies the lazy can get.  There are tons of food banks in my county that I never knew existed.  All kinds of stuff they can get for free.    I learned a lot from this experience.  Why would anybody try to do better when they can get more for free not working that the people who work.

I heard a guy a couple weeks ago talking about these people on welfare and trying to get them jobs.  I am like they don't want jobs.  Talk to them.  They will tell you.  I have to be paid in cash or I can only work 8 hours a week so it doesn't mess my check up.  Their government check.  Oh I can't make over this much or it will decrease my food stamps.  They know exactly how much they can make to still qualify for all the free stuff.  It outrages me.  And the elderly who may really need help are not usually getting it.  Then there is one guy who is in line for every free thing coming and going and he is at the top of the list as far as income earners.

I haven't worked in a food pantry or the giveaway events.  Many people are needy and appreciate the help.

BUT, then we have the lazy, "I deserve this", greedy people who know how to work the system who make me want to NOT donate.

I don't have any ideas on how to fix "the system", but when people getting assistance due to my tax dollars earn more than I do working overtime and running myself ragged, SOMETHING needs fixing!

Exactly!  That is what makes me so mad.  And they do not even appreciate what they get.  They all but hand it back and say I don't want this can I have something else.  They should give us meat.  Well get a job and buy your own meat.  A lot of working folks cannot afford to eat meat!

So many people have forgotten what gratitude is.  Or at the very least "beggars can't be choosers".  I've been on both sides giving and receiving.

It took all I had in me to not say that. lol

And that is great.  A lot of people are thankful for what they get.  Just amazes me and the people who grumble and complain and say they should give me this or this.  They should provide a chair for me to sit in because I am too lazy to stand here to get a big bag of food for FREE.  And if you bought it at the grocery store it would cost at least $50 or more.

We just picked up a couple of bags of food at a local event.  We aren't on food stamps but my husband doesn't make enough for us to live on, really.  I am thankful for whatever I can use from the bags.  There's always stuff we don't like that we, usually, redonate to other food pantries or ask around to see if anyone we know would use it.  There are many ungrateful people in the world.  I believe we will see more and more of that as God is pushed farther and farther out of our society.

I wish someone give me free food. I think people who complain calling free food crap should be told to leave the area without getting anything at all!

I call self-entitlement. Coincidentally, I was watching CNN this morning, and it showed a story of a man in Mexico feeding thousands of migrants from El Salvador and Honduras. I didn't see any one of those poor people crying about the wrong type of food, etc. They were just grateful that someone cared enough to feed them. Perhaps "poor" people here in America can learn something here.

I help out at a homeless shelter and everything is donated.  We feed hot meals for breakfast and lunch, give out clothing and give out bags of food every 60 days from a sign up sheet.  Most of the people are grateful but a few complain.  One guy said "I don't want this garbage" and I wanted to say "why are you here go to a restaurant and pay some money"

Well coincidentally quite a few people at these distributions are hispanics and they some of the very ones complaining.  I have also noticed the pictures of these "poor" people from south of the boarder and they all have iPhones in their hands and the women have big diamond rings on.  These "poor" kids have on Nike tennis shoes.  And they all seem to be pretty clean and well dressed.

There are a lot of poor people in America.  There are a lot of POOR people in America that cannot get any help but yet illegals can waltz across the boarder and get everything for free.  And FYI these people laugh at us and call us stupid Americans.

I am not sure why people have to bring race in to everything.  Fact is people of every skin color and every nationality have their share of entitled people.

I probably would have responded.  At the least I would have asked him "why are you here".   "Beggars can't be choosers.  You want steak then get a job and work for the money and go buy whatever you want".

I wish someone give me free food. I think people who complain calling free food crap should be told to leave the area without getting anything at all!

Do some research.  Find a distribution in your area.  Go stand in line. lol   The only person I ever saw turned away, and they were not turned away just denied extra was a family who tried to get a bag per person instead of per household.

You will always find idiots, loud mouths and obnoxious.  I hate being around people like that.  People like that want to be seen no matter what it's about.
