What do you do...
« on: June 18, 2019, 05:46:16 am »
Most surveys now have disclaimers at the beginning if you do this this or this you will be disqualified and you will not receive your reward.  If you fail our quality control questions you will be reported.  The part that really ticks me off is the Do you understand. lol  But that is beside the point.

One of the things says "If you straightline your answers" you will be disqualified.

So I am asked a question to which I answer yes or no to each:

Have you ever heard of:            Coke
                                                   Pepsi
                                                   Mountain Dew
                                                   Dr. Pepper

If you answer yes to all you straight line. Which do you put no for?  Everybody has heard of all of these.  smh

I just answer honestly and if they do not like it they can kick me off.  I had a survey yesterday with those same 4 sodas and I answered that I heard of them all (I think most people have)

I probably had the same survey.  I heard of all the sodas and I’m sure everyone else has.  I said yes to all and was disqualified.  smh

I think I got DQ but the point is some times there is no way to answer other than to straight line your answers.

This is very common, as is the "no opt' out response.  When the questions are targeted you have no answer that is listed and have to close the survey.

I don't recognize the survey, but I wonder if the prohibition against straightline answering was not for that particular question but a series of later questions where it may have asked multiple choice where you had to answer for each soft drink that you had heard of: "Strongly Agree - Agree - Neither Agree nor Disagree - Disagree - Strongly Disagree" and then maybe the ones where you had to assign personality words that you associate with each brand or certain adjectives where they appear on a large grid of button choices.

I HATE those surveys by the way. It takes so long to legitimately answer those types of questions.

I could be way off base...

No need to close it.  I just answered yes to all.  The point is I had to straight line the answers because obviously I have heard of all the major soft drinks. lol

I doubt it.  If you have ever seen that disclaimer it clearly says if you STRAIGHTLINE meaning if you answer every question the same to form a column (in case you did not know what straight line means lol) you will be disqualified.

I just did it anyway and went on.  Yeah I hate them that have like 200 agree disagree chart questions.  Nobody reads all of those.  People get frustrated and just start clicking.

My favorite is when you have around 5 companies and which ever one I say I would never or have never purchased from that is the one that is picked for me to rate. uh okay.

I know exactly what you’re talking about. But I still just answer as honest as I can and whatever happens happens

I’ve seen questions like that from Peanut Labs surveys.

I hate that and the big grid-style strongly agree/disagree type questions. "This brand I just said I never heard of? Gee yes, I would STRONGLY RECOMMEND this to my friends!!"
