What's hotter a Green Laser or a Red Laser? 8)

I vote for the red one... seems anything red is usually hot.

 I’ll save the red laser.

Today, green lasers reign supreme. They're far brighter than red lasers, typically operating at 532nm in the Class IIIa range. Under 5mW, these lasers can be visible for thousands of feet in optimal conditions, which makes them completely viable for shining into the starry sky and more than capable of handling classroom pointing duties. When you move beyond 4mW, these things start to get a little crazy.

I've seen a blue laser in movies, what do they do?
If they are anything like fire with the blue part of the flame hotter than the red part of the flame, I would assume the blue laser would be hotter than the red one though.  Just a guess though... I took physics in college, but remember very little. :)

Ahhhh, so u must have had some training in the Laser/physics world?

Not at all, I had training in the Internet /Google world.

You would think red, but I believe that the green has it beat.

I didn't know so I researched.  Here is my findings:   A red PLS line laser might be visible at 20 to 30 feet and a green PLS line laser may still be visible at 45 to 60 feet when used with a fresh set of batteries. If you work mostly indoors, want to see the laser more clearly, and don’t want to move the laser around as much, a green laser level will almost certainly outperform a red laser level.
Have a wonderful day!

The answer is definitely green. If we are talking about heat then we are talking about energy.  :rainbow: look at this rainbow different colors carry different energies. the reds are lower energy than the blues and green is closer to blue so its higher energy. Therefore its more heat. i've dealt with lots of lasers in the past in my physics labs and we use green. ever heard of an ultrafast laser? it pulses on the order of femtoseconds....thats a quadrillionth of a second!!! super super fast and we mode locked it. super cool stuff
