Summer cooking is so much fun.  Taking the weather and location into account opens up a several avenues to take when cooking.  I think the best place to start is a grocery store.  Check out the sale ad's along with seasonal fresh fruits and vegetables.  From there is the fun part in building a menu.

True! The weekly ads do tend to have a bunch of different fruits and veggies on sale. Thank you! :)

If you have no ideas for dinner, you can use my favorite recipe.
How To Bake A Potato

It is not very complicated.

Just go to Costco and buy a rotisserie chicken. Come home and take all the meat off the bones, then cut it into cubes. Then make a nice salad of Ramaine lettuce, tomatoes, celery, red peppers, marinated mushrooms and artichoke hearts, put the chicken on top and pour Italian dressing over the whole thing. Yummy and fast to make!

If you don't have a Pinterest account, you definitely should register for one.  There are so many ideas on Pinterest that I can spend an hour just looking at all the different categories.  It is also helpful in the grocery store because you can easily look at the recipes you saved.  I love Pinterest and could spend hour after hour looking at all the ideas they have, not just cooking!

Thank you! I actually roasted some potatoes a few times this summer and they were tasty!

I have Pinterest. I have never thought about making a recipe board. Great idea! Thank you! :D

We grill a lot during the summer and when we aren't grilling we have a fresh salad. You might be able to get some ideas for some easy meals on the site Delish.

There are so many Summer meals to prepare.  Although I have never heard of a Summer meal, because I cook the same type of foods year around.

I recommend that you BBQ some shishkabobs. They are so easy to make, just marinate your meat, little potatoes, onlon quarters, green pepper chunks and cherry tomatoes in Italian dressing for a few hours, put the items onto a skewer and BBQ. Yummy. You could make rice on the side too.

Get a few summer cookbooks or seasonal cookbooks. Something that is easy. Watching Food Network might not be a bad idea.
