I looked it up after seeing this.  It is not a joke.  There will be idiots who may try to get in the area.  And NO the feds won't shoot you on the spot.  They don't shoot any other people who enter restricted areas.

It is a joke.  The college kid who started it put it up as a joke and is surprised that any one is taking it seriously.  A lot of the memes about it are certainly funny.  The area it is in is have extreme heat right now too, so I doubt anyone would actually last to long there even without military intervention.

Nothing, it's just a meme.   It's funny though on Twitter, people are posting pictures of them & their alien, or how they are going to go get them aliens, they draw maps with their troops.  It's all in good fun.... the funniest one I saw was one of Bernie Sanders saying let's go get those aliens healthcare.   Some of them gave me a laugh.

I don't think anyone truly is taking it serious, just looks like comedy... it's a military base out in the middle of the desert so I don't think they'll make it if they actually try.

It isn't just a meme.  IT is an event that was created on Facebook.  Now that the creator could get in trouble he is saying oh it was a joke.  I guarantee there will be idiots trying to get to there.

I have not seen this on facebook, does not sound like a good idea to me.

Boy if any of them should take this seriously and go down  there.  Would be  making a big fool of them selves, And yes it is very hot there. One of the hottest places in AZ. And if you have  ever been in hot weather you know how fast it can overtake you, Plus  several  varieties of  Rattlesnakes down there and some blend in with the  sand . I  do not know of someone who would want to go there.

I saw on the news that the nearby towns have declared a state of emergency in preparation for the mass amount of people they are expecting to show up to "get them aliens".    Sounds like it is almost going to be a festival of sorts with booths & bands... funny really.  I hope it's just all in good fun, & nobody really tries storming Area 51.. but there always has to be some weirdo who will try, if only for likes on social media.

Yeah I saw that last night.  So obviously it has not been forgotten about.  I fully expect at least a few people to show up.  People are stupid.

I do read stuff like that on Facebook, I skip any crazy post that I am not interested in.  But thee are crazy people out there that will go and make a scene out of it.  Do they really believe that the government is going to let them anywhere near that place?  If the theories are truth then no way in Hell the government will allow it.  As for me I do not have time and patience for stupidities like that.  My free time is better spend with family and resting

While I do agree we need to secure our boarders just like every other country does - this has nothing to do with it.  This is not illegal hispanics threatening to do this.  I think it was an ignorant hippie white dude that started this.
