Thank You! I second that sentiment! My son helped a neighbor with his landscaping business in one hundred degree heat yesterday. Thirty lawns cut in eleven hours. My son was drinking lots of water but up getting dizzy, ran into a tree, and almost passed out. I, on the other hand, was in an air conditioned office from six in the morning till four thirty, jumped into the air conditioned splendor of my car for the thirty minute commute home, followed by seven hours working in my study in, you guessed it, air conditioned heaven. I took the dogs for a walk at eleven and the weather was beautiful... probably in the upper sixties or lower seventies. I think that Colorado is supposed to get a temperature reprieve with temperatures hovering in the low to mid nineties with no humidity.

The temps are scary dangerous.  I'm so thankful I don't work outdoors.  I work in grocery retail - so I do have associates that have to go outside to fetch carts.  They are on 15 min. shifts and ice-cold water is being supplied to them.  I stepped out early this morning just to toss something in the recyling bin and my breath was taken away.  No bike riding for this girl today.

We moved from Florida to Indiana in the Spring and I'm pretty sure the temp here yesterday was higher than Florida!  Crazy stuff.  The news yesterday said that 6 months ago it was 50 below zero.  YIKES

Amazingly here in Southern California we are having great weather only in the low to mid 80's...That heat wave everyone else is getting was here about a week ago.  I am loving it because I know it is going to turn hot and stay hot here soon!

Then you should thank God you have all this cool air conditioning to be in.  Not everyone is that lucky.  A lot of people work in factories where it is 120 or more in the area they work in, or work outside, or just live in a home that has no AC in it.

I remember years ago a guy was a truck driver and his truck did not have AC. The job was contracted trucks and one of the guys had a brand new truck with AC and he would wear a sweatshirt in the truck and make gestures making fun of the guy who did not have AC.

That seems a bit ridiculous.  I worked outside all day yesterday in the heat.  Common sense is to drink water or Gatorade.  Being "ice cold" as people like to say is not that big of a deal.  As long as you are drinking something.

6 months ago it was winter so that is not a big deal.  I am not sure why people are so freaked about it being hot.   IT is SUMMER.  It is suppose to be hot.

It was hot on Saturday during the afternoon right away but I did enjoy a short cloudy day when it was 5 AM since I had to wake up and drive somewhere.

Wish I could stay cool.  The AC is broke at our house and it is very hot in here.  You take a shower and come out and start sweating all over again.  It is so bad that we stayed at a hotel Saturday and Sunday nights.
