Could you really tell the difference ?

Could you tell the difference between 720p,1080p,2k,4k resolution ?  I know 4k and 8k you can tell right away but what about 1080 to 2k to 4k ? I still have trouble figuring out if its really the correct resolution when it comes down to those.

No I cannot tell the difference myself.

I only know that when I try to upload some pictures, the site has specific sizes they will take.  It probably depends on the use of the item.

Since my TV doubles as the monitor for my desktop computer I always use 4K to see the text better.

I am probably one of the last remaining people on earth that could not care less about that in a tv. I also don't need a sound system. I have had my same flat screen TV since I got divorced 10 years ago. I have no intention of getting a new one until this one breaks. And even then, I'll get the cheapest one of similar size.

I do not understand it at all.

I know I've seen those numbers before, but they mean nothing to me.  I don't even understand what a resolution is.  I guess if I felt it was important to me, I would take the time to figure it out.  It just sounds like a fictional language to me!

I do not know the difference, but some pictures do look lots better than others, so a techie would probably know who to do the numbers!  LOL
