Where would you go?

Where would you go if you wanted to go out, but didn't have anyone to go out with and you don't want to seem weird. I had someone ask me that question the other day.

Frankly, now that I am retired and not married or in a relationship anymore, I go wherever I want alone.  However, I try to pick times which are not popular for having a lot of people.  For example, I go to matinees at the theatre.  They are also usually less expensive at that time.  If there is a popular restaurant, I go to lunch on a weekday.  The lunch menu usually fits my appetite better and is also less expensive. I go to the public library and look at books and movies and what programs they are going to have.  I go to the local Senior Center as there is a very active one near me and they have quite a few day trips that are interesting.  I just joined a gym again and have intentions of going 2-3 times each week. Occasionally, I ask one of my few friends or they ask me to go somewhere.  Today I saw an outdoor art fair as I was driving by and stopped and spent about 30 minutes going booth to booth.  There are many places to go if you just take the initiative and don't let yourself be intimidated that you are alone.  Every once in a while, you meet an interesting person this way.

I out go by myself a lot, to the Mall,  one of my favorite restaurants to eat, a movie and to thrift shops;  I just enjoy me, myself and I!!!!

I am retired now, 2 years ago.  I don't gt out much.  I am going n 2 trips in the next couple of weeks.  Have a wonderful week.

Wherever I want.  I don't let the fact that I don't have anyone to go with me stop me from going the places I want to go.

I don't see anything wrong with it.  Why would you feel weird?  I don't understand that concept.  Also, I had someone to take me out but sometimes I didn't want to be bothered.

I would probably go to the mall and shop. Shopping is fun for me. I would also eat in the food court.

Yes, mall shopping is fun to do alone for me because I don't ever feel unsafe by myself there.

I like to clothes shop by myself because I can take as much time as I want.  For just hanging out, I love the library.  I love everything about the library, and would love browsing through the books, audio books, and movies.

I would go to my local library and read a book or go on the computers and do surveys. Or I would go for a nice long run by myself.

I very seldom ever go out by myself but I have never felt weird when I did.

Maybe to the movies and a dinner. Would be nice.

I would go to a museum & just take it all in at my leisure. There are a lot of people alone at museums or galleries. Some artists sit in front of a painting & sketch it.

I don't really enjoy going out alone and I hate malls and shopping so I guess the library would be my choice

I guess anywhere I want to go. Thankfully I am the type of person who doesn't need a person with me to do anything.
