Tiny Houses
« on: August 12, 2019, 03:23:05 pm »
Would you want to live in one of these Tiny Houses?

I do not think I would ever like that.  Maybe if I were just starting out and did not have anything.  I still think I would feel like I was in prison.

Nope. Too claustrophobic for me. I don't need a huge house, but I like to have enough space to move around without bumping into things.

I was watching some old western the other day and this girl got put in jail and they locked her in a room that was about 3 feet by 6 feet or so.  It had enough room for the cot which went wall to wall and then room to stand in front of it.  With a tiny window about a foot tall and 6 inches wide.

This is what I think of when I see these ads on tv for the tiny houses. haha

I would depend on  how the house  was arranged, now when it comes to some of those  apartments in NYI could not handle them. But I have been in some small Mobil homes and I really liked them. But being married I have to have way  more room for the both of us. When  own I loved living in a one bedroom apartment And if  something  should happen to him I will again..

I like open space so tiny houses would not suit me

There is no way I could live in one being married, but if I were single i still think it would be too small.

If I was single, in a minute. But I am married with 6 kids so there's no way I could or would! They sure can make some pretty awesome ones!! Kudos to those that do.

I have been looking  into getting a tiny house or a two car garage with a studio over it. I have a very large house that I use less than twelve percent of: My bedroom, study and bathroom. The house suits my family fine but I only have one left in college and pretty soon they will have their own lives. I have a three car garage that holds one of my vehicles. I worked out the numbers and I could do it for under fifty five thousand, including ownership of the land underneath, by calling in favors from contractors that I have referred in the past few decades. I could probably go cheaper without a full bathroom because I have a gym membership and showers at my work job but it would only be an extra thousand or so dollars. I work about eighteen hours a day, sleep about five and a half hours and like to keep my cars covered-a garage studio would do the trick.

know a couple who live in a tiny house, they seem to love it. have 3 dogs,2 cats who also are all good. they really made a deck out side a large one so I think in summer months they go outside a lot. also have a horse and a place for it.

I am talking about the TINY HOUSES.  They are about the size of big Uhaul if that big.  Not just a small house.

You may not have a gym membership or work the rest of your life.  I would not have a house and not have a way to shower or take a bath.

The apartment over a garage could be really nice.  Esp if you just have one car and you can use the other half of the garage for storage.

I think the tiny house idea is great, but it is not something that would work for me. I get a little Closter phobic and I know I could not live in a tiny space for the rest of my life.
