Last year a good friend of mine went for a walk and was hit and killed by a truck.  She had 3 young children at home.  It was winter and the truck slid on the ice. (he was killed too).
She and I used to go for a walk every day together but that day I just didn't feel up to it.  Maybe if I had gone she would be in a different spot at that time.  But that one event changed many lives in a blink of an eye.

You can't blame yourself.  :(

It helps to have an eternal perspective on life, but not everyone does. I believe our life here on Earth is but a small segment of our eternal existence and that goes for my son that died when he was five years old.

She was saved.  And she is in Heaven.   And we, the ones who are saved, will see her again.  And you will see your sweet son again.

It sounds as if that girl had died too young.  :(

She was 16.  She was in a car accident.

Sad to know her life was so short. God heals all wounds physical and mental.

Yes, that is so true.  My dad always says, you never know what a day will bring.  That's why it is so important to be prepared for eternity.  Eternity is a very long time and once you are there, you can't change your mind.

Very true.  And eternity is for every one. Not just certain people.  And it doesn't matter if you do not believe in Heaven or Hell.  YOU WILL spend ETERNITY in one of those two places.  Both a literal real place.

Like can change. In the blink of an eye.  You are not promised tomorrow.

A kid from church was killed this morning in a car wreck.  We got word just as church was starting.

She had her whole life ahead of her and I am sure when she got up and started her day she had no idea it would end in a few hours.  That she would step out in to eternity.

Hello!

That was a very sad story no tommorow is never promised to any of us nor do most of us know which tommorow. We should just focus on now and cherish every breath that we take. Focus on what we know and dont worry about the unknown!

It is hard to not worry about tomorrow or the future.  People need to focus on not having so much hate.  You never know what is going to happen.  I know a woman that when she was a kid she got in to a fight with her mom.  As she left the house she screamed at her and said "I hate you!"  Her mom died that day before the kid saw her again.  It has been over 40 years and she still remembers the last thing she said to her mom was "I hate you".  And she was mad at her.

Very sad. :( It's scary how life can change in a matter of seconds.

I guess this is the reason to not put off doing what you really want to do.  Go somewhere you have always dreamed of if at all possible, do some little things that you have thought about a great deal but put off, say something kind or loving to a person that you know you should, take time to smell the flowers as they say!

This is something that is not new.  The next second isn't promised to anyone.  You live and enjoy life now, not the next minute, not the next moment. Now.
