I have had bad dreams on occasion that have made me wake up with a start and that have had me actually frightened.  I have to consciously "change channels" in my mind.

Yes, I have experienced this! Every once in a while I have such a bad dream that I wake up totally disoriented. Usually after a dream like that it takes me a while to shake off the bad feeling before I can go back to sleep again. I hate those dreams, too!  :peace:

I have had really bad dreams over the years, when I was young I had a dream that me and my siblings and our neighbor kids got sucked down in the back of our station wagon. I remember waking up and couldnt go back to sleep.

My husband and I got brand new pillows that allow for a deeper, more restful sleep.  The pillow worked so well for me and I went into such a deep sleep that my husband had to wake me up because I was screaming from a horrible night mare.  I don't remember the last time that has happened. My dreams are usually funny or weird not too scary.

I doubt that the new pillow really had anything to do with it but it was a very deep sleep until I woke hubby and the cats with my hollering.  LOL   ::)

I have bad dreams a lot anymore. I can usually fall back to sleep though.

Yes, sometimes I do have bad dreams. I toss and turn till I wake up. I really hate having bad dreams. Interrupts a good nights sleep.

I've had bad/scary ones where  I was afraid to go back to sleep.  I've also had good ones and when I wake it is a bit disappointing that it is not real.

I haven't had a bad dream in a while, and that's nice.
