My brother lives in Miami.  Please pray for all the people who lives will change because of the hurricane.  I'm praying for no lives lost

I talked to my brother.  He boarded up his Windows and he and his wife are driving up to our home.  I'm so happy to see him (it's been almost 1 year), but I'm sorry it's because of the hurricane.

Have you ever seen a video of where the do the reverse traffic and shut the interstate down and have the traffic heading away from the state in both directions?  There is on where they are doing in from South Carolina.  It is scary and cool at the same time to see it.

How about do trumpy suggestion. Nuke it cause yeah that works right. He is a idiot.
The "idiots" are the ones who hear that story reported and automatically assume that it is 100% truth that Trump wants to drop a nuke bomb on a hurricane - because... Hey! It was reported by a news agency and so it HAS to be true. They are so absolutely trustworthy in their reporting and would never say anything untrue or unverified.

I have no idea what was said behind closed doors and neither does anyone else who was not there.

To everyone in Dorian's direct (or indirect) path, including my daughter right on the Florida Atlantic coast - stay safe and be smart. We are praying for you.

I saw this morning  where they told people in Florida if you ignored the warnings to LEAVE and decided to stay and ride out this storm - Not to bother calling 911 and if you do your plea for help will likely be ignored.

I agree with this 100%.  They have been talking about this for over a week.  Telling people you need to leave.
If people decide to stay they "you are on your own" no one should have to put their life in danger to rescue someone who decides to be stupid.

I know several people who live in Dorian's path, either in Florida or the Carolinas or Georgia. I have only experienced one really bad hurricane myself when I was a little girl living in Massachusetts. The brook behind our house ran over its banks and flooded our basement. We got it cleaned out pretty quickly, though, and were able to continue living in the house.

I agree 100%.  They had way enough time to get out. If you decide to stay you're on your own. Why should any first responders risk their lives because you were too ridiculous to leave when you had the chance.

I just saw this again thru an alert sent to my phone and what I am seeing is showing it is NOT even going to hit Florida and just a brush with one of the Carolinas.

My family lives in Savannah and most of them came to Atlanta.  My younger brother stayed, he always does.  Please pray for them also.

I am thankful that storm was not hit in Florida. Hopefully it wont hurt people or make damage to properties.

Which is part of the problem/reason why people don't evacuate. On Thursday or Friday I think the projection was a direct hit on the area where my daughter is at. Of course, so much can change in just a day when the storm is still that far out, let alone four days. Now she is outside of the immediate danger zone and doesn't need to evacuate.  Should she have evacuated or not?  I would have preferred that she had, but if she does evac and then it misses them completely and she is not around to show up for work (in restaurant management) then she faces an entirely new set of problems.

We do have a friend in Florida but I don't know if my hubby has called and checked on her yet.  I will keep all the people in the hurricane's path in my thoughts and prayers

I am glad I don't live in Florida and have to experience this several times per year.... I do have a great friend in Florida that I worry about at times like this. I personally have never experienced anything other than a tornado.
