After September 15th, 2019, my city is going back to the old-fashioned paper bags...
charging 0.10 per bag-added to your purchase.

So are you going to take your own bag or pay 10 cents per bag? Or not shop there? lol

Here in my state, if you live in the city you have to pay 7 cents.  In the suburbs, you are not taxed to get a bag.  I refuse to pay  7 cents for a bag that you are already paying for at the cashier.

Yeah, using the plastic bags for small stinky trash is nice!

I am also distrubed by the number of places you all are reporting charge bag fees. It's too alarming.

I also don't recall there being bag fees in Washington DC as someone claims there to be.

In our area we have had the charge for bags for several years, and some stores do not even have plastic bags, you must (if purchasing) get a paper bag.  I always carry my bags with me, empty them out and then put in the trunk of my car.  The tariffs are not really working because the consumers here are paying them, they just raise the prices the amount of the tariffs.  We can charge them anything we want, but it is killing our farms, ranches and dairies because they are just buying the goods from countries that are not charging them tariffs.  We are remodeling and many of the goods we need we were told would be going up because of the tariffs, so we bought last summer.  Some of these items are 60% more than last summer, and unfortunately a lot of people could not afford to purchase ahead like we did.  Our grocery prices have gone up a lot, especially noticeable on fresh fruits and vegetables because of the tariffs.
