Two things I like about texting are I can always refer back to the message when it's convenient and it only costs me one time, instead of the minute meter running while someone rambles on.

Yeah, texting does take a lot of time sometimes. It can be kind of annoying to wait for a reply or response even if they do come somewhat fast. But, not as bad as how long online chats take, which are blah, too long. But, texting on an actual phone, might take me longer time than I am thinking right now.

You do realize you can set up Google Voice and do texting on your desktop?

It depends  on the person.  When you talk, you have to find something to share, whereas with a text it's short and to the point.  Send.

I would rather talk to much room for miss information or attitude in text.

It depends. If there is something I need an answer to right away, I call. Pretty much everything else, I text. Texting is nice because the person can pick it up whenever they have the time to do so - you aren't interrupting somebody who is doing something else at the time. They can just look at the text later on.

It depends. If it's just a quick thing, texting is great. But I don't want to text back and forth for an hour, or even half an hour. If you have a lot to say, just call me. Especially if it's family, I like to hear their voices.

I like to do  both. Text a lot. But then I get  lonesome and want to hear  my daughter-in-laws voice or my longtime  friends. Then  comes a phone  call.. But to  just text simple messages it is great.  Love this new  smartphone. I have about 30 telemarketers blocked and I never have to hear them again. It was getting tiresome.   a lot of them calling  for handouts. I pick and choose whom I donate to.

I would much rather text than talk unless it’s my boyfriend and then I love talking to him or my children I FaceTime my children a lot I love doing that also but most of the time texting is the way for me to go

Most of the time I like to send a quick text.  But sometime I just want to chat and see how they are doing, to hear their voices.  It also depends on what you need to talk or text about.

I like to text whenever I have a hard time talking. It would be nice if we could see one another in person every so often, but flight other than from airports and teleportation still are not possible! I’ll address that when I get to run for president!

Absolutely prefer texting. I'm much better at writing than speaking, my brain doesn't move fast enough lol
