Are You Following the Keto Diet Plan?
« on: September 13, 2019, 06:07:55 pm »
In this moment.....Keto seems to be the thing.  From my point of view it's just another low carb diet.

Have you learned about Keto?

Is it something you'd be willing to try?

I must admit.  I have a carb addiction; however, I've been on low carb diets and I'm usually good for about 2 weeks.  Then I crave anything and everything that might be a source of vitamin C.  It does; however, correct an imbalance within me if I follow it faithfully.

Do you have any experience with Keto?

If so.... what would you say are the pros and cons?

Have a great day!

I personally don't get the hype around it. I don't think it's a good diet to follow long term but if it works for some people, then great. I wouldn't do it lol.

I have heard conflicting things about KETO.  A few friends swear by it and have lost a great deal of weight and say they feel the best they have ever felt.  Other friends swear that it is a very bad diet and any weight lost will be gained back and more.

I don't believe in any of these fad diets. Just because you can lose weight on one doesn't mean it's good for you. Your body needs a balance of fat, protein, and carbs. Eliminating or grossly limiting any of them is not balanced. Just eat whole foods, less processed junk, and exercise regularly.

No but my son who lives with me is following it.....He wanted me to but I just can't be that restrictive. I try to balance out my carbs or keep them down as much as I can because of type 2 diabetes but no Keto is not for me.
