10/4:National Taco Day
« on: October 04, 2019, 05:11:26 am »
Yes, here we go!  Another "Day!"  So I guess the questions are:  Do you like tacos?  And, if so, what do you like to have on your tacos?  Anything unusual? And, will you be having any tacos today?

I like tacos.  I like the normal stuff ~ refried beans, meat, cheese, salsa, onions.  I like to do the double stuff ~ hard shell with beans on the outside and a soft shell wrapped around the hard shell.
Have a wonderful day!

I love Tacos so I like the fact that it is Taco Day.  Guess I'm gonna have to cook some for dinner tonight.

I don't plan to eat any tacos today but I sure to love them. We buy the Old El Paso tortillas and fill them with fried hamburger, Old El Paso taco sauce, shredded lettuce, cheese and black olives on top. They are just yummy!

I definitely like taco's especially homemade and pretty much like the "normal" stuff lettuce tomato salsa cheese. I am not as crazy about taco's from like fast food taco places but I can eat them.

Hmmm haven't had tacos for a long time.  I like the original tacos - but don't like losing all the juices when I eat it.

I didn't know it was National Taco Day. I would have made them but I already thawed out soup because it's not too warm here today.  I use the soft taco shells (wish they cam in corn) and just fill with the usual. No refried beans, though, because of hubby's gout flaring up with beans. I like the hard corn shell but he also has trouble chewing with a painful loose tooth in the front if he bites down, so it's soft only. I would love to have sour cream on them but he doesn't like sour cream. He's such a picky eater and it drives me nuts! He doesn't fold his taco. He spreads the whole thing with meat, tomatoes, shredded lettuce and shredded cheese. Then he eats it with a fork. He does the same thing when I make  fajita's. So instead of making 1 lb. of burger I need to make more than that, which kinda ruins the whole idea of saving money/burger.

Happy National Taco Day everyone! I like hard shell tacos and just the basic stuff...lettuce, sliced tomato, cheese and salsa. Yum!

Yes, I love tacos. Hard shell or soft shell, it does not matter. I generally have ground beef, shredded cheddar cheese, lettuce, and hot sauce with my taco. Coincidentally, yesterday, I went to Taco Bell.

I had a taco on 10/5 and it was from a real authentic mexican restaurant.  Much better than Taco Bell tacos.

I missed Taco Day, but did have chicken tacos on the Taco Tuesday before that.  I enjoy making them myself with all of the usual toppings (including avocado, cilantro and a squeeze of lime juice), but they can be messy to eat.
