Does your car cleanliness reflect your house cleanliness?
« on: October 04, 2019, 11:37:03 pm »
Do you have a messy car and house?  Is your car and house clean or is one clean and the other messy?  I'm not a neat freak but I'm not a slob either.  My car is very clean I don't keep a lot of things in it not even in the trunk.

Well I guess if you have to lump me in a category I'm a clean freak.  I was raised that way, one of my mother's sayings was " put it away or I'll throw it away" and she did!  So my home and my siblings homes, are neat and clean.  My car is very clean also.  I'm lucky in the sense my husband is also neat.

Both my house and my car are very messy. This is because my hubby is a slob and I find it impossible to keep up with the messes he makes.

At present, both my car and house could be categorized as somewhere in between too messy and quite clean and organized.  However, as far as my car is concerned, I'm getting a little work done on it in the next week or two and then going to invest in getting it detailed inside and out.  I like to get it professionally cleaned each year. I think getting a good coat of wax has helped to keep the exterior from rusting, and I just like having it clean from top to bottom during the nasty winters Michigan often has!

In my case, my car stays pretty clean, mostly because I"m usually the only one in it. But my house is quite another story. My husband and kids are slobs, and I am not a big fan of housework, plus we have a cat. So put all those things together and you've got kind of a messy house, LOL!  :peace:

Neither are perfect because I have to hire someone to do most everything but to me they are acceptable.  I try to keep both picked up between having someone do a major clean and otherwise I just have to accept it and make do with it.

I never thought of it that way, but it probably does. I have to clear a place in the back seat if I have a passenger that needs to sit back there. Does that mean I'm a slob?

My house is not too bad mostly, but it could definitely use some improvement.

Yes it does.  I hate a junky house or car.  I keep a very clean house at all times.

My aunt and cousin both are horrible house keepers and car keepers, both their houses and cars are hoarding situations :(

There are a lot or many car washes in town. It seems at least for exterior aspects of the car, there are options to keeping it clean. I can't say for certain if all of the same car washes offer interior services, but I'd like to see them used a little more for the ones that do. Dirty interior cars, black streaks, ewe. Nevermind a polished, fresh feel, whether with oils and such or not.

They are not as neat as I would like them to be.  I am married to some one who is very messy, so try as I might I just can't keep up with it.  :o

I am more of a clean freak, I keep both my car and house clean. I am not a hoarder and do not tend to collect and or like a lot of stuff to be all over my house, for me less clutter helps me to breath better so I do not need to have stuff in every space.

There is a difference between clutter in a car and being dirty in the car. I think a lot of people might have car clutter more than car dirt.

My house is clean for the most part.  Sometimes it gets a little dusty.  My car is not messy, but it does need vacuuming because I live in the sandhills of North Carolina and you track that sand into your car when you get in and out.
