Living in Lancaster PA there is a lot of great fall leaves around here and I go hiking very often during the weeks.

We take an annual road trip every year at this time to the same place.  My husband, his brother, brothers wife and I will drive to Lancaster PA to look at the beautiful fall leaves.  We spend the weekend at a beautiful B&B run by an Amish family.  We eat dinner with them, a real Amish home cooked meal and go shopping and tour the city.   Last year my sister in law bought a beautiful home made quilt.  I think maybe this year it might be my turn.lol

I know that there are a lot of things to do in that area, but do either of you (as a local and an annual road tripper) ever go to the Dutch Apple Dinner Theater? I've driven through Lancaster a few times and have stayed there twice. My wife and I spent a few days of our honeymoon there in 2005 and stayed at a nice B&B for a few days - Lovelace Manor. One of our evening events was at the dinner theater where we saw The Pajama Game. This past July when we went to Ocean City, MD with our 12 year old, we split up the drive out and back. On the way home, we spent the night in Lancaster at the hotel right next to the theater and saw their production of Annie.  Both shows were very well done and the food buffets were fantastic.

I know that Lancaster has a lot to offer (and we did visit a few other attractions 14 years ago - it was right about this time of year that we were there that first time), but the dinner theater is probably the one we enjoyed the most.
