Are you "paperless"?
« on: October 15, 2019, 09:34:37 am »
I opted for paperless with my insurance company, pay everything online autopay, and I still get so much mail from them. Once in a while I get a random physical duplicate of a bill and it makes me nervous like my online payment didn't take. What's weird is it isn't every month. Does that happen to anyone else?

I too cannot believe all the stuff I get from my insurance company.  I am also paperless, but I swear I get 3 or 4 things a week in the regular mail and that many things online too.  I wish they would get it together.  Sometimes I get a notice that payments did not go through after I have seen them already come out.  It is RIDUCULOUS :bad: :bad:

I'm paperless and rarely hear from the company.  But if I contact them, they are responsive.

I am as paperless as businesses will allow me to be. I opened a checking/demand deposit account with BBVA, last week (for a one hundred and fifty dollar bonus) and requested that there be no mail whatsoever at three separate points during the opening process. I provided them with a written, bullet pointed request, that defined my goals and reiterated that no mail was to be sent tome under any circumstances. I received verbal acknowledgement that nothing would be sent to my home address. Two days letter I received the first of five pieces of mail. The first was opened which means that my privacy had been compromised (this letter had been a confirmation of my access password). My wife was in the process of reading this letter while I was in the next room changing the password. Most banks pay an extra bonus when you choose to take the paperless option.

I am paperless whenever possible. I hardly ever get mail anymore. I only check the mailbox about twice a week, because most of the time it's empty.

There are a few things I still want to come in the mail but for the most part I do the paperless route.

I know what you mean. I've signed up for everything to be paperless, but stuff that should be paperless still sneaks through on paper through the mail occasionally. Most of what I get through snail mail now, though is junk mail, junk mail, junk mail, and a weekly letter from my grandma, LOL!  :peace:

I avoid using paper when I know that I can deal with concerns (like reminders or paying bills as you just mentioned) without  paper.

I'm starting to go paperless.  Tired of all this paperwork, having to keep receipts for 7 years.  Trying to go as paperless as possible.,

Ever little on paperless because my husband is not into anything online and doesn't trust it.  I pay all the bills and take care of all the other important stuff so would love to go paperless on a lot of things. He would have no idea what bills even get paid if they did not come in the mail.  But also has a lawyer friend tell us that we should keep all the paper statements of important items just in case of fraud.

Yep, the more I try to be paperless the more paper I seem to use or get.

Have a wonderful day!
