This is too absurd to even comment on.
Haha! And yet you did! Why is it absurd? It's not absurd to everyone. It's a legit question. Of course if you blindly think he is squeaky clean, then of course you may think it's NOT a legit question. I see back in 2012, there was a topic started about impeaching Obama in this category. Lol, now that WAS absurd!!

Your point about how people "blindly accept" certain "truths" (and I use that term very loosely) is the real issue here.

I don't think pokitics should be allowed on here. Too many different opinions and fighting.

This is posted in the "Debate & Discuss" sub-forum, which explicitly says in its description: "A place to have political, religious, and other divisive discussions. Enter at your own risk!" So while I understand your point, I think that this is the exact place where this should be allowed.

Thanks for pointing that out, besides I haven't seen any blood spattering on my screen yet.

Will this madness never end? :bs: I will be glad when it's finally over.

Then I hope it gets back to some semblance of normalcy.  :confused1:

Impeachment is a waste of time and it is not a real inquiry because everyone is voting across party lines. Let's get back to enjoying our improving economy.

This question is too late. Impeach means to bring charges in congress that will form the basis for trial. The president has been impeached. Just as Andrew Johnson and Bill Clinton were impeached. These three presidents were impeached and shall remain in the history books as being impeached. The next stage of the process determines by trial, with enough support from Congress, if he should be removed from office. Two thirds of congress must vote for the removal of the president which is highly unlikely and has never happened since the United States was formed. The trial is to be started this month and will address two charges: Abuse of presidential power and obstructing congress by refusing to cooperate with the congressional inquiry. I believe that the president is guilty of both but will not be removed from office.

The problem faced by Democrats here is that neither of these are actual impeachable offenses - they are made up descriptions of two categories of actions that every single President in the HISTORY of the United States was 'guilty' of in one form or another.

The precedent being set is extremely dangerous. This lays the groundwork for every President from now until forever to be impeached by a Congress with an opposing party majority, simply because they do not like the opposing party President and/or are butt hurt that their candidate lost the prior election. When a future Republican Congress tries the same approach to impeach a future Democrat President, I cannot wait to see/hear the venomous hypocritical vitriol spewed forth by the media and the liberals.  But they will justify it with the same old and tired double standard bullshit that they use today.
