Thanksgiving plans
« on: November 20, 2019, 09:56:04 pm »
What are your plans for Thanksgiving?  I will be joining my extended family in South Carolina.  I am really looking forward to that.  I won't be doing a lot of the cooking so I am really grateful.

We normally have a big family meal but this year it is going to be a lot different.  My mother has been in the hospital for four weeks now.  No one in the family feels much like having the normal traditional meal since Mom won't be there.  We are going out to eat at a restaurant close to the hospital and then spend time with her.  The last time she was sick and in the hospital, it was during Christmas.  The time before that, it was Easter.
Have a wonderful day!

Thanksgiving plans? Same as always. To stuff my face with food while not pretending to celebrate this holiday purely out of convention.

We are getting together for Thanksgiving at my mother-in-laws house.  All the kids and grandchildren will be there....and I'm thankful for that.

Going to my brother's gf's house.  Went last year and did not like the food at all.  My brother is a great cook but unfortunately his gf cooked the majority of the food.  I'm hoping my brother will cook this year. I told him I'd only go if he makes his fried turkey and he said he would.

I am going to my parents' house a few towns over like I normally do. We typically have dinner with my mom's side of the family since they all live close. We also always invite friends over throughout the day to have the most enjoyable day possible.

We were planning on doing something out of the ordinary this year.    It would have been wonderful.  As life would have it.  I am the only one that won't have to work, other that to watch my grandkids.   :-\

My extended new family that adopted me in their family invited me to come, but I don't know yet what my adult daughter wants to do with her bf. So plans are up in the air.

My husband and I will make a meal here for us and our son. We may go somewhere else too, his stepfathers families house but I am not certain just yet.

Will be cooking a pork roast, mashed tators and gravy, bacon and green beans, and pumpkin pie.  Keeping it simple this year! just me and my hubby and our son, we'll most likely end up playing board games all day lol
