FC Work/Surveys while away from home
« on: November 30, 2019, 04:23:24 am »
I have sometimes worked on FC surveys while I was traveling.  Do you think one might get disqualified for entering a home zip code instead of the location of the ip address for where you are presently?

I don't see the ZIP code as an issue, however, please keep in mind that FC tracks your IP address and does not permit multiple users to have the same IP.  You could be banned if you use an IP that has been use by someone else.  That is why, when travelling, I NEVER attempt FC surveys... heaven only knows if someone else at the hotel or conference center or wherever has logged on and I personally do not want to take that chance.  I do the daily email from the data (not wifi) on my cell phone, I I even worry about that.

I am pretty sure my dad is not earning with FC.  It was pretty safe bet.

I do not attempt FC while traveling or away from home but I know that others do. Do not attempt to use with wi fi or you might be permanently banned but the situation could be different  if you are using paid for data.

Also, do not attempt from a public computer. If you do FC while traveling, do it from your laptop.

Just to be 100%, I would open a support ticket even if support is slow to answer.

Why would you?  The question does not ask what is the zip code of where you are right now. It says what is YOUR zip code.

This is not true.  First off, there is a member on the site with 8-10 accounts and FC does nothing.  You can also access this site from public places like a library.  And you could have more than one person using the library and accessing this site.  Pretty sure somewhere on here their is a disclaimer about if you access from a public computer to be sure you log out completely.

Disqualifications for a zip not matching the zip for your IP address have happened.

A couple of years back, I was disqualified from Fusion Cash for two weeks. I was never told what I did wrong but the disqualification was eventually lifted.

During that time period, I did, among other things, searched the web for others who had been banned from FC. One man posted that while he was waiting for his wife to buy something, he attempted a survey on FC using a public computer or his mobile. (I can not remember which and I also think he was on vacation.) He posted that he had forgotten that one is not allowed to access FC outside of the home.

He was banned and never allowed on FC again plus lost all his earnings. He had posted this on another site.

FC is pretty strict about its rules and if you break the rules, even accidentally, you could get banned forever and forfeit all your earnings.

In the past, I have read here that people have had issues when using FC away from home. Therefore, I have never even taken the chance of logging on to FC when away from home.

About 5 years ago I attempted to use FC on my iPhone while out of the country and it disqualified me for about 2 weeks, when I came back I was able to create a ticket and straighten the issue.  So be careful where you login.  I am not sure about the IP address for same household, I think it has more to do with the same Computer.  I had use FC from my work computer and never had any issues

It doesn't matter if you put in your home zip code into surveys you take while out of town, but you may run into a big problem with FC just by using somebody else's computer. FC used to complain every time I used my daughter's laptop to do FC surveys. It didn't happen the last time I did this, but usually it does.

I don't travel but I don't see a problem using your home zip code, I think that is what they want.

Disqualifications for a zip not matching the zip for your IP address have happened.

It NEVER happens to me.  The IP shows me in about 3 different towns NONE of which are where I live.  Every once in a while it will be my home town but most times it isn't.  It has never been an issue for me.  If your internet service is not from someone in your town then it very likely will be different.  I have also done surveys when visiting another state and never had any issues.
